With a name like Vampire Weekend you kind of expect a goth sound to come from this band. However, the two songs spotlighted here (“Diane Young” and “Step”) are very light and pleasant in tone. I really like them and am interested enough to look into their whole 3rd album Modern Vampires of the City. Thanks to Wild Honey Pie for sharing the two videos below. Out of the two I like “Step” best with it’s lyrics and how the video was shot with the Black and White imagery of the city. “Diane Young” is an upbeat tune that is infectious and the video is really simple.
