Native Angeleno, devout DIY-ist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, painter, artist, philanthropist  and renaissance family man are all accurate descriptives for JD Shultz “aka” Human Brother. He’s releasing a new collection of songs in February called Back to Music.
It’s twelve tracks reflecting an eclectic mix of world and roots influences with positive, life affirming messages – making for a warm, ambient rock record. Shultz wrote, arranged and played all of the instruments on the record. He also produced and recorded Back to Music.
Back to Music reflects Shultz signature aesthetic on plexiglas too… bold, colorful, full of energy and modern. Companies like MGM’s The Bellagio in Las Vegas and Guitar Center commission his work. He built his reputation in and around Los Angeles by simply painting on anything that he could and then eventually launching his own gallery.
Margo and BlackPanda PR have gotten back in touch with me with an update for JD Shultz.  JD helps with the program Musicares, which:
provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. MusiCares’ services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality. MusiCares also focuses the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community.
JD is to be commended for his service.  For more information follow this link: http://www.grammy.org/musicares
