Rosebug is sharing with the ComicPop listeners their debut single, “I Am the One” from their album Worst Way. “I Am the One” has an ethereal feel to it. I can here shades of Enya and Cindi Lauper with a touch of psychedelic to boot. Rosebug is certainly playing to a niche market, but give them a listen and you might discover a new sound you enjoy. Brett Ferguson is sharing with our listeners his single “Take You Home”, from his album Let Go. This single has a simplicity to it that makes it a very welcome change of pace to all the singles out there that are vying for attention. Brett has a nice solid voice and the harmony he has with the female vocals is on point. With this acoustic version Brett hearkens back to the folk singers from the 1970’s like James Taylor or even Simon & Garfunkel. The Pinkerton Raid is sharing with our listeners their single “Ghost in My Bed”. The band has a very early Americana feel to it. The sound of “Ghost in My Bed” has a little bit of tinny sound to it, which is why I say it has an early Americana feel to the single. The rhythm also has a light airy feel to it supplied by the keyboard. HYDDE is sharing his recent single “Ghost” that features HAWKES. You could call this electronica/soul. The instrumentals hits the electronic sound while the vocals have a strong soul feel to them. This is an interesting mix. The single is very clean and crisp and really enjoyable. Anyone that has been through a breakup will connect with the lyrics as well. The DEDBTZ are back and sharing with us again their latest single “Fools With You” featuring Chris Brown. This is another fun song by the group that has slow elements in the verse and then it kicks it up a notch by bringing in the electronica during the chorus. Von Sell is sharing with us again. This time it is his latest single “Miss Me”. “Miss Me” continues with the electronica sound, but this time he is going for what I believe is an ethereal feel. The vocals and music at times blends to the extent that his voice isn’t the front and center. The verse Von Sell comes in nice and clear, but it is when the chorus comes in that the blending occurs. This might be intentional because the title of the single is “Miss Me” and with the chorus if you aren’t paying attention you can miss Von Sell’s vocals with all of the other vocals and instruments that are coming in at that point. For those who love their psychedelic rock this will fit in well with you style. Bien Bien is sharing with the ComicPop listeners their single “She Grooves Me” from their She Grooves Me EP. Lostboycrow is sharing with the ComicPop listeners his new single “Stay a Little Longer”. This single just has an easy flow to it that captures the listener from the start. It is definitely a pop song, but it has slides in it, along with the drum beat that gives it a seductive feel. The vocals capture that same tone and if Lostboycrow can keep this style going I for one am ready for him to stay a while and share with us even more entertaining music.
