We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.

Dark Horse Comics has been adapting Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s, New York Times Bestselling Strain Trilogy, written by David Lapham and art by Mike Huddleston. The first Volume of the comic book adaptation, issues 1-6, will be available November 2012. This title I have not personally read, but with the nature of the book being in the Horror genre, I would say this will be more suitable for your patrons that are 16 and up. Have your purchasing agents mark their calenders if you want to add this to your graphic novel collection.
Remember that while Nickelodeon is airing Avatar: The Legend of Korra that Dark Horse Comics is publishing Graphic Novels of Avatar the Last Airbender, which is currently on it’s seconded volume.
Dark Horse Comics has announced that as of December 14, all of their titles will released as print and digital on the same date. They are joining a growing number of publishers that are going to this business model which include Marvel, DC, and Image to name just a few.

Your fans of fantasy will be interested in this novel, not to mention your patrons that definitely follow Yolen’s works. So this work will be a great cross promotional tool within your library. Here is a book that will be appreciated by you patrons that enjoy video games and art work. Dark Horse is releasing The Art of the Mass Effect Universe in February 2012 with a suggested price of $39.99.
