Aers’ Music Video for Their Single “With a Light”

The first thing I noticed-before the video even began- was that it was roughly a 5 minute song, with that much time to fill it better be good. Sadly, I wasn’t over the moon for Aers. Their intro was very melodic and interesting but the voice plus the slow tempo didn’t do it for me. The voice is too flowy and to me sounded like a bad trip off mushrooms because it was injected with so many voice changes, the saddest part is that through all of that I can hear a really great voice if they wouldn’t doctor it up so much or even not at all. The tempo dragged the song on and I was leaning forward but not in the good way- I was leaning over to try to get the song to go faster. It seemed strange at such a slow tempo and was almost painstakingly slow. If Aers upped the tempo and took out all the voice modifiers I would definitely give them another listen to.

Sariah’s Latest Single “Aware, Alive, Awake”

This is definitely what I thought I would listen to. Sariah’s name is very sophisticated, along with her image and it was strange hearing a sound that didn’t match that. Instead of getting a smoker’s lounge feel like I thought, I got a very poppy sound. It seems almost too immature for Sariah and doesn’t fit her. I was intrigued during the intro because I thought she was going to put an electro spin on classical or older music but that wasn’t the case. Sariah has a great voice and I feel like it’s better suited for standards or other older, timeless genres.

MOXXI’s “From Here to Oblivion”

I honestly don’t know what to say about Moxxi but I’m gonna try anyways. First off the intro was cool but too muddled, if it was the exact same intro but cleaner I would’ve gotten into the song a lot more. I was taken by surprise when Moxxi started singing. I wasn’t expecting to hear some lyrics from another song in this one or the pop feel. But I can say that the familiarity of the lyrics from a different song helped me get into the song and the chorus was also very nice. It’s got a strong driving tempo and doesn’t slow down. The only part it really lost me was the brief time when it was slowed down and the very end. The end felt kindle jangly and it didn’t fit right. For the most part, however, I did enjoy Moxxi and I think any pop/retro fans will as well.

New “Bleach” Accessories

Here is the latest accessory that Bleach fans can enjoy.  Don’t like walking in the rain, slice the raindrops with these Bleach inspired umbrellas.  Viz is producing them and are scheduled for a 4th quarter release of 2014.

Harris Hawk Hits the Streets with “Make the Fonz Bleed”

Holy rock, this is my type of band. From the intro I was immediately into the song and really liked the raw almost jagged sound to the music. I did get a little lost in the middle of the song though, because the instrumentals overpowered the vocals too much. Rock music needs strong vocals to sit on top of it and emote even more. The only time a softer voice works in rock is if the voice is distinctively separated from the music but it wasn’t in this case. If the vocalist gets stronger and can be heard better I would love this group. They’ve got the foundation of a good rock band, if they just tweaked a couple things they would be there.
