For those that love acoustic music or just want a break from other genres, take a listen to East Love’s “Unbroken”. “Unbroken” gets back to the simplified sounds and how that can be just as powerful as anything else out there. Nicely done East Love can’t wait to hear more from you. Check out “Unbroken” through SoundCloud – Richard:
“The One” Music Video from CHCKLK
CHCKLK has just recently released their single and music video for “The One”. This starts out with a dark feel to it that I didn’t quite expect, by just starting the song. I go into these without any knowledge of the group as much as I can so I don’t know their style and it is a fresh take from me. The dark music overpowers the lead singer, but that is intentional I feel because of the feeling the band wants the listener to experience. However, just by listening to it the first time without the video I had no context for why they wanted to go so dark. The upon watching the music video for “The One” it brought the single home for me and was much more enjoyable. So first time listeners it might take a while to get used to this single, but by CHCKLK sharing their music video with us through their YouTube channel, the first time listener will have a better experience in understanding the dark experience that I believe the band wants you to have. Put it this way if you are into the darker themes with your reading, viewing, and listening pleasure you will appreciate this single and music video – Richard:

Young Rising Sons are “Coming Home”
Young Rising Sons is sharing their latest “Coming Home” music video with us. This is a case of I enjoy the single, but the music video didn’t really work for me. Others might watch the music video and enjoy it. The single itself, “Coming Home’, I really like. It has a nice beat and the vocals come in with confidence. It’s not an upbeat song per say but it isn’t slow either. It’s one you can just groove to and sing along with. The music video is a different animal. It opens up with a feeling of the movie The Purge and then it just shows a windshield as a car is driving down the road. You think it’s a lyric video, but fooled you it’s not. The text that comes on the screen is a different message from the song so it is a little distracting, but like I said above others will like it. Here’s the music video for “Coming Home” that Young Rising Sons is sharing with us through their YouTube channel. Check it out and enjoy the song – Richard:
Giselle Mynx has “Sprung Free”
“Sprung Free” comes in strong with a heave base beat. After the opening verse the single changes rhythm, it has a fun almost drumline beat in the transitions. Then the single picks up speed again with Giselle’s lyrics. Her voice reminds me a little of Juice Newton. You can also tell that Giselle had fun with this single. Take a listen to “Sprung Free” through SoundCloud to get your body moving this morning with this fun single – Richard:
Classic Kids’ have “Just Begun” with their Single and Music Video
The Classic Kids’ looks to have embraced the boy band style with their single “Just Begun”. This took be back to a mixture of New Kids on the Block and Back Street Boys combined. I myself am an unashamed supporter of boy or girl bands. They always seem to have a fun vibe in their music and that what I love about them and The Classic Kids’ single “Just Begun”. So check out the music video for “Just Begun” that The Classic Kids are sharing with us through their YouTube channel and have fun – Richard:
Tribe Society releases Refix of Major Lazer’s “Lean On”
Tribe Society gives the listeners here at ComicPop and at large a hard hitting refix of Major Lazer’s “Lean On”. The single features M0 and with this refix the listener won’t have a chance to get bored. Tribe Society hits hard from the beginning with their instrumentals and drives them all the way through the single. The star is definitely the instrumentals which in this case for me works. Check it out through SoundCloud – Richard:
Victoria Celestine gives us “Something More”
Victoria Celestine’s single “Something More” has an infectious electronic/pop beat that gets your head to bobbing. Victoria’s voice is nice and clear and easy on the ears. With “Something More” the song and music video have that 1980’s feel to them. A fun song to listen to…check it out through Victoria’s VEVO YouTube Channel – Richard:
Rozes gives us Two Remixes of “R U Mine” to Enjoy
Several have enjoyed Rozes single “R U Mine”. So much so that two remixes have come about for it. SteLouse and Lost Kings have done remixes for “R U Mine” and each one sounds cool. SteLouse has a DubStep feel while Lost Kings give it an electronic feel so they are different in their own way. Check out both remixes through SoundCloud and have fun – Richard:
Aer’s Latest Music Video/Single “Keep You Here”
It’s party time with Aer’s lastest “Keep You Here”, from the duo’s new album One of a Kind. Aer is sharing with us their music video to “Keep You Here”. The single itself has nice clear vocals and a simple clean catchy rhythm to this Pop/Hip Hop single. It’s a feel good song that really works well and I enjoyed. So check out Aer’s music video for “Keep You Here” and get to feeling good and have some fun – Richard:
