Among Criminals New Single “Patience and Regret”

Among Criminals is sharing their new single “Patience and Regret” from their upcoming album Kill the Precedent.  With “Patience and Regret” I’m getting a 1970’s feel at the start, with the guitar section giving a Vietnam era vibe.  When they get to the chorus they shift into a driven beat.  Definitely a rock band with the rhythms hitting you with a steady stream.  I’m looking forward to what else they will have on their album. Nozart Single “Puppet”

Nozart, lead by composer/pianist/producer Noah Kellman, is sharing their single “Puppet” with our listeners.  “Puppet” will be one that our alternative rock and I believe our steampunk rock listeners will get into with ease.  I myself love the instrumentals and would love to have Nozart do a pure instrumental song, the opening is just right up my alley.  However, I realize that an instrumental piece is probably the most daunting of releases.  However, Nozart is definitely playing to their fan base and genre.  The vocals stay just above the instruments so listeners can enjoy the lyrics, but if this is going to be their style they’ll have to watch that they don’t let the instrumentals overpower the vocals.  For me this hits a genre I enjoy and I think it will for others as well.  Here’s Nozart’s “Puppet” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Jetty Rae’s Single “Take Me To The Mountain”

Jetty Rae is sharing with our listeners her single “Take Me to the Mountain”.  Jetty is playing with two different styles of music with this single.  I definitely hear a country blend with the instrumentals, but they are slowed down and her singing the lyrics is dragged out like you would hear in a psychedelic single.  This might be a little bit of a challenge for new listeners, but for individuals that enjoy the psychedelic feel will get into this single.  For me liking more upbeat songs, this is a mood piece for me and when they mood hits it fits.  Here’s Jetty Rae’s “Take Me to the Mountain” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Beau + Luci’s Single “Fire Dancer”

Beau + Luci is sharing with our listeners their single “Fire Dancer”.  This single is the title track from their upcoming EP Fire Dancer, scheduled for release March 3.  Judging by this single Beau + Luci’s style is country/rock.  The single has a great beat to it with both voices harmonizing nicely to give the single a bit of otherworldly feel to it.  For book lovers this next little tidbit is interesting.  Within the description of this single it says that “Fire Dancer” is inspired by Cornelia Funke’s Inkheart Trilogy.  Kind of cool!  Here’s Beau + Luci’s “Fire Dancer” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Down On Maddy’s Single “Titania”

Down on Maddy is the stage name of a new experimental/alternative rock artist.  Today he is sharing with our listeners his single “Titania”.  With this single you get several different rhythms with the song.  This shifting can be a little jarring, but for those that like experimental rock will dig it.  Down on Maddy to an interesting approach with his vocals for this single as well.  With having the experimental feel with this single he also threw in lyrics that are drawn out to create a psychedelic sound.  So fans of experimental rock enjoy Down on Maddy’s single “Titania” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Polar Waves Single “Stoner”

Judge Roughneck Looks in the “Mirror in the Bathroom”

Jetty Rae Latest Single “Queen of the Universe”

The Krickets find “Cool Cool Water”

Emmaline Muchmore’s Single “Solid”

Emmaline Muchmore is sharing with our listeners her latest single “Solid”.  From the very first beat you know that Emmaline is putting forth a power house of a single.  It comes in with that heavy bass beat and then when she comes in with her vocals it has that fierce quality to it that fits great.  From fans of the 1970’s shows like Starsky & Hutch will recognize in some of the single’s instrumentals shades of these type of shows soundtrack mixed in, which was fun for me to hear.  And to be honest “Solid” would fit right in to a soundtrack of that type of show easily.  For me this was a fun and sassy song for having such a strong sound to it.  Here’s Emmaline Muchmore’s “Solid” through SoundCloud – Richard:
