Eve Minor’s Music Video for “Piggy Bank”
Eve Minor is sharing with our listeners her music video for her single “Piggy Bank”. This single has a playful attitude to it and you can tell that Eve is having fun in the video. And that is the main thing with this single and music video is going in realize that Eve is just having fun and wants her listeners to have fun with her. The instrumentals are catchy and the vocals will surprise some at first with the higher register. Towards the end of the single she drops to a lower register which really brings her voice out more to the forefront and I enjoyed. Dark Horse Comics is coming out with a new supernatural apocalyptic series entitled Baltimore: The Red Kingdom, written by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden with art by Peter Bergting. For fans of this genre you might want to get the individual issues. However, Dark Horse usually collects their titles into a collected edition, which libraries and everyone that enjoys the collected editions will want to watch for towards the Spring or Summer on this title, which will probably when Dark Horse will release one. Free Parking! is sharing with the ComicPop listeners their music video for their single “Germany”, from their album Weekends that was released on December 4. With “Germany” you instantly get that punk rock feel that many love. “Germany” starts with a whispered opening and light guitar and then it hits you right between the eyes with the fast paced guitars and vocals. With the punk style it has always been to get the listener taunt and frantic and with “Germany” Free Parking! delivers. The band was nice to include a warning to watchers that it might not be suitable for all and warns for individuals with epilepsy, so who says punk bands aren’t sensitive to people. Riverdale Trailer
So the CW is adding to it’s comic book inspired television series with Riverdale. Archie Comics has been experimenting with updating the Archie books and having the stories more mature. This is especially true with the horror slant they went with Archie and Sabrina here of late. This looks to be in that same vein. The Classic Kids are still hitting it out of the park with their 1980’s inspired music with their single “Daydream”. We loved The Classic Kids EP Forever Strong that we reviewed back in our 42 episode of ComicPop Rockin’ in the Dirt and I personally enjoy this latest single from them. The music video is fairly standard that features the band as they perform for the camera. But with The Classic Kids I just want to listen to their music and have fun. Polly Baker is letting our listeners take a peek at her music video “Wild”. “Wild” is a great sounding country single that takes you back to the country I used to listen to in the 1980’s.
