Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 Trailer

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 might seem insensitive, and that it hits to close to home, but it was actually made before Japan’s recent earthquake and tsunami.  The complete series is now available to add to your anime collection.  Thanks to “RoxFlowzX” on YouTube for the following trailer:

Are You Ready for Free Comic Book Day

Are you ready for May 4.  That’s this year date for Free Comic Book Day.  Be sure to stop by your local comic shop, book dealer and even library that are supporting the Free Comic Book Day.  Not every book store or library is participating so check with your local library and if this is a program you would like to see in your library let the librarian know so they can be ready for 2014.  Check out the Thomas Jane video below in support of Free Comic Book Day.

Scarlet Book Trailer

If you have read Marissa Meyer’s first book to the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder, you will want to check out the next in the series, Scarlet.  Thanks to “Fierce Reads” on YouTube for the following trailer:

Orphan Black Trailer

For those that get BBC America (which sadly I don’t) have a new series starting March 30.  The series is Orphan Black and just from viewing the trailer looks to feature a cloning storyline.  This is one I will have to watch out for if it comes to SyFy network or when it hits DVD sales.  Thanks to the BBC America TV YouTube channel for the trailer:

Doctor Who Trailer

ICv2 has shared the trailer for new episodes of the 7th series of Doctor Who.  Looks like another fun season.  Thanks to the BBC America TV channel on YouTube for the trailer:

Music from Vampire Weekend

With a name like Vampire Weekend you kind of expect a goth sound to come from this band.  However, the two songs spotlighted here (“Diane Young” and “Step”) are very light and pleasant in tone.  I really like them and am interested enough to look into their whole 3rd album Modern Vampires of the City.  Thanks to Wild Honey Pie for sharing the two videos below.  Don’t let their name scare you away.  Check out both videos.  Out of the two I like “Step” best with it’s lyrics and how the video was shot with the Black and White imagery of the city.  “Diane Young” is an upbeat tune that is infectious and the video is really simple. Croods Trailer

Croods looks like a fun movie for everyone to go to the Friday.  All the animation fans will be out in force as well as families.  Thanks to DreamworksAnimation Channel on YouTube for the following trailer:

Pandora’s Tower Game Trailer

XSEED Games began streaming it’s U.S. trailer for Pandora’s Tower on it’s YouTube Channel.  Pandora’s Tower is an RPG for the Nintendo Wii and is scheduled for a spring release.  Check out the trailer below:

CHVRCHES “Recover” Music Video

Thanks to Wild Honey Pie for alerting everyone to CHVRCHES new music video “Recover” on YouTube.  It has a great Science Fiction flare to it and has an, what looks to me, update HAL in the video for 2001: A Space Odyssey.  This single uses the Synthesizer as its main instrument which fits well with the video.  They must have taken that into consideration when developing the music video.
