The “OfficeAugusta” channel on YouTube is streaming Motohiro Hata’s “Kato no Ha” (Leaves of Words) music video. This song is the main song for Makoto Shinkai’s Garden of Words film. Motohiro Hata also is the singer for the end song for the film as well, entitled “Rain”. Check out the music video below:

To coincide with the release of LNOE as a single on 29 July 2013, The High Wire are now sharing the official video. Directed by Mat Whitecross (Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, The Road To Guantanamo, Spike Island) and starring Ray Winstone, the video is set against the backdrop of Whitecross’ stunning film noir Ashes (2013) – an engrossing rumination on love over time, plagued by unanswered questions and lingering sadness. Beautifully shot, it centers on Alzheimers-afflicted Frank (Winstone), whose surroundings are constantly changing and out of focus. Highlighting Frank’s condition and past relationship with his wife (played by Lesley Manville), the video perfectly suits the darker emotional undercurrent of the track. By turns abstract and heart wrenching, the video shares the apocalyptic bent of Fight Club’s skyscraper climax, fitting for a song as massive as LNOE.

The Syfy channel newest reality series, which premieres August 13, is Heroes of Cosplay. This is one where I will watch to see how the costume is made and what the finished product looks like (because many of the costumes are well made), but can do without the drama. The official Hatsune Miku channel is streaming a sample of the song “Coming Together” by BSC a.k.a. kuni in its English form. This was done for the English release of Hatsune Miku V3 this week.
“CinemaToday’s” YouTube channel began streaming the newest trailer for the upcoming Space Pirate Captain Harlock, CG Movie. Toei Animation has the movie looking very nice and as an added bonus you get to hear part of the ONE OK ROCK’s “Be the Light” which is featured in the film. Check it out:
If you remember a few months back I we had a story about the Veronica Mars televisions series starting a Kickstarter to make a movie. Well the funds were raised and Warner Bros. released a trailer at Comic-Con this past weekend. The movie is currently being filmed.
