Librarians need to let their DC Comics and Lego fans know about Warner Bros. making a deal with Lego to give them rights to produce Lego products of DC Comics characters. The figures and playsets will hit the shelves in 2012 with 13 figures to begin the DC Lego World, some of the figures will be: Batman; Superman; Wonder Woman; Green Lantern; Joker; Bane; Harley Quinn; and Lex Luthor.
DC Re-numbering Not Rebooting
DC’s site discusses that the universe is not necessarily rebooting. They are just changing some customes, having some of the main characters be younger in age, but not necessarily changing the characters origin. DC’s site also gives out a few of the titles that will be getting new #1 issues: Wonder Woman; Green Arrrow, Aquaman; Flash; Savage Hawkman; Justice League International; Mister Terrific and Captian Atom.
Wonder Woman Dropped
ICv2 is reporting that NBC, after execs viewed the pilot for a new Wonder Woman series they decided to pass on the project. So at this time Wonder Woman is back on the shelf.
Introducing Wonder Woman
Warner Bros. has released the photo above of Adrianne Palicki in the costume they will have her wearing in the new Wonder Woman series. The article, linked below, from ICv2’s site states that the pilot/series for Wonder Woman is currently being shot. If the series should take off it could draw new interest in your library’s Wonder Woman titles.
Hurley to play Wonder Woman Villian
ICv2’s site is reporting that Elizabeth Hurley has been tapped to play Wonder Woman’s main villain for the TV pilot. The site’s theory, linked below, is that Hurley will portray Veronica Cale a Pharmaceutical company’s founder in the comic book.
Introducing the New Wonder Woman
