Wonder Woman Feature Film
Deborah Snyder, the producer, of the Wonder Woman feature film announced that principal photography will begin in November for the movie. Gail Gadot will reprise her role as Wonder Woman and the film is slated to debut in June of 2017. Thanks to ICv2 for this update and I am hopeful that a DC Comics Universe in the movies can be finally realized.
Steve Trevor Cast
With talks of Wonder Woman getting a movie again, hopefully it will happen, Chris Pine has been cast as Steve Trevor, according to The Wrap. The picture above gives a comparison of Pine with one comic book version of Trevor. For me that casting works. Pine will play opposite Gail Godot’s Wonder Woman and the director assigned to the film is Patty Jenkins.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Trailer
Growing up my parents always picked up the DC Comics for me. So I’m more of a DC guy instead of a Marvel guy even though I love Marvel as well. But man I love see the small screen and big screen coming to life with what to me are my heroes. So you knew I couldn’t let the weekend come without posting the trailer to the new Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer that debuted at ComicCon. All I can say is it looks good. Seems to pick up within the Man of Steel battle, with Bruce Wayne present in Metropolis at the time. So that was a nice tie-in. Plus Batman has always been about protecting the people even to include other heroes that might turn. Check out Justice League: Tower of Babel for this concept. Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
Don’t have this one yet, but it is definitely on my radar to pick up. I have been enjoying DC’s animated movies and Throne of Atlantis looks good as well. Thanks to DC Entertainment’s YouTube channel for the trailer:
DC HeroClix Get New Set
The fans of WizKids’ HeroClix get a new set coming this November. The new set is entitled DC HeroClix: Superman/Wonder Woman. No exact number of pieces that will be in the set, but these three above are slated to be in the set, but things can always change as collectors and gamers know.
DC Comics Stop!
DC Comics have released the above images of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in new costumes, through HitFix and we got them from ICv2, after the current “Convergence” storyline running through the titles. The fans just not that long ago went with new costumes for DC’s “New 52”. I wish sometimes these companies would leave things alone. If it works why mess with it. I could handle the minor changes with the “New 52” costumes, but these I don’t know? Maybe they will grow on me or it’s just temporary.
We Get Another DC Hero on the Big Screen
Warner Bros. has announced that Gal Gadot will be in the next Superman movie, portraying Wonder Woman. That means that the Big Three DC Comics Heroes will be in this movie (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman). Sounds interesting and we all know that Warner Bros. is trying to get into a franchise set around the Justice League as Disney has done with Marvel Entertaiment’s Avengers franchise with individual movies around the main movie. The movie is scheduled to be released July 17, 2015.
