The fans have spoken. Warner Bros. that owns the Veronica Mars property made a deal with show creator Rob Thomas that if he could get a $2 Million backing off of KickStarter then a Veronica Mars movie could be made. The KickStarter was a success and has raised above the $2 Million dollar amount. Therefore, plans are in the works to start movie production this summer and be ready for airing in 2014. This shows that with KickStarter fans have another outlet to keep a series alive other than a writing campaign to the studios.

Here is one movie libraries will want to make sure they pick up, for their anime fans, when it becomes available to purchase. The movie is the live action adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s manga Rurouni Kenshin. Yahoo! Japan movie section released the trailer for the upcoming movie, which is slated for release to theaters in Japan August 25. Next DC Animated Movie
The next Warner Bros. Animation DC movie will be Superman vs. The Elite. This movie is based on Joe Kelly’s story from Action Comics #775, “What’s so Funny About Truthj, Justice, and the American Way”. Pauley Perrette, pictured above, will voice Lois Lane and George Newbern will voice Superman. The movie is expected to be available during the Summer months.
Another Zombie Themed Game
Warner Bros. is bring the world of gaming Lollipop Zombie later this year. This game is definitely not for children. However, for your older gamers (16 and up) will probably get a kick out of this game. It is reminiscent of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. It has the cheerleader aspect, but with zombies not vampires. While it is a horror game it is full of funny dialogue. Thanks to YouTuber “gamespot” for the trailer below.

DC stays with Mattel
ICv2 is reporting that Warner Bros./DC Comics has extended, an unspecified, multi-year deal with Mattel to be DC’s master toy licensee. This license includes Mattel being able to use DC properties throughout it’s core brands which include: Hot Wheels; Matchbox; Barbie; Fisher-Price; and Mattel Games.
