Let all your Pokemon fans and DS gamers know that the next installment of Pokemon is coming their way. The next titles will be Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2, which will introduce two new Legendary Pokemon (Black Kyurem and White Kyurem). The release date for the two games is set for June 23, in Japan and in the Fall for the North American and European markets. This is for all your Mass Effect fans and video gamers in general. T.O. Entertainment began streaming the video below in preparation for the release of T.O. Entertainment, Production I.G. and distributor FUNimation Entertainment of Mass Effect: Paragon Lost anime. There is no set release date yet, but this is libraries will want to consider adding to their animation collection. If your library is in the D.C. area you will definitely want to let your gamers know about this upcoming exhibit at the Smithsonian Art Museum. During March 16 – September 30 the Smithsonian will have an exhibit entitled “The Art of Video Games”. During it’s opening weekend they will be having an additional event “GameFest”. During “GameFest”, on March 17, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. the Art Museum will host Metal Gear Solid’s game series designer Hideo Kojima in the McEvoy Auditorium. Yahoo reports that six chase figures of Skylanders sold for over $1,000. I’m currently working on episode 13 and we have 14 and 15 waiting in the wings and in episode 14 ComicPop Library reviews Skylanders. As the article says if people are paying this amount it is definitely a hit at this time. We’ll see over the next year or two if it has staying power.

Namco Bandai Games Europe came up with a cool way to advertise for Soul Calibur V. They hired two graffiti artists to do a mural on the Great Eastern Street Wall in London’s East End. The information on YouTube on gives the name of one artist that painted the advertisement and that is Jim Rockwell. The below video shows a time-lapse of the painting and a scan of the whole painting when it is completed, which took three days. The very end of the video is a trailer for Soul Calibur V.
