Mass Effect Trailer

This is one anime film libraries will want to put on their radar.  There is no release date scheduled yet, but FUNimation released the trailer for the upcoming Mass Effect: Paragon Lost anime movie trailer.  The story is the prequel to the Mass Effect 3 role-playing game.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network and YouTube for the following trailer:

New Arena Game Forth Coming

Arena games are pretty popular, so if your library has a video game collection this might be one you want to consider picking up.  Atlus is planning on releasing Persona 4 Arena in Japan on July 26 and then in North America on August 7.  Thanks to Famitsu, AnimeNews Network, and YouTube for the following promo:

Phantasy Star Online 2 Trailer

Phantasy Star Online 2 will be one game that you will want to tell your library patrons about.  It is a Free-To-Play multiplayer role playing game, that Sega has announced will be opening a server in the west to allow game play (actual opening date has yet to be determined).  This news you will want to let your gamer know about so they can play at their homes, but also to your gaming patrons that don’t have a computer at home you can inform them that they can play on the library’s computers to spotlight your computer labs.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network for the following trailer:

Resident Evil 6 Teaser

This Resident Evil is probably in your library’s video gaming collection.  It is one of the more popular gaming franchises and CAPCOM is releasing Resident Evil 6 this Fall.  The release was planned for November, but CAPCOM is planning on releasing the title now during October.  The release will be for the PlayStation 3 and X-Box 360.  If all goes according to plan the release dates will be, for the North American and European market October 2 and in Japan on October 4.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network for the following teaser trailer:

Resident Evil What?

CAPCOM has  announced, not a new Resident Evil video game, but the first official Resident Evil Restaurant.  This is were it would be fun to live in Japan with all of the themed restaurants that it has to offer.  The Biohazard Cafe & Grill S.T.A.R.S. will be inside the Shibuya Parco shopping center in Tokyo’s Shibuya ward and is scheduled to be open on July 13.  Besides food, although no menu has been set yet, the restaurant will off limited edition items for it’s patrons.  So if you happen to be traveling to Tokyo or just happen to be in the area, this might be a fun side trip.

Metal Gear Solid Novel

Viz Media is releasing Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots novel, June 19th.  This title will be one that appeals not only to the anime/manga fan, but also your library’s gaming fans.  The project MSRP will be $15.99.  When you get it in at your library you could spotlight other gaming titles that have been made into novels (i.e. Resident Evil, MASS Effect, and Doom just to name a few that have been published over the years).

What Will You Sacrafice

This will be one that you might put on your library’s to purchase list.  PlayStation announced that Soul Sacrifice is planned to be released in the North American and European markets, for the PlayStation Vita.  No specific release dates are available yet.  If you have a video game collection your patrons will probably be looking for this one when it is released.  The following trailer is provided by AnimeNews Network and YouTube:

One Piece Video Game

This is a title for library’s that have video game collections.  Namco Bandai Games Europe released the following trailer of One Piece: Pirate Warriors.  The release date for this title is for November 12 and will be available for the PlayStation 3 platform.  Make sure your library’s purchasing agents now about this new title.  Thanks to AnimeNews Network and YouTube for the trailer:

New Digimon

Sonic Game for the Holidays?
