Batman Live, Hmmm…

Thanks to ICv2 for posting this trailer of the Batman Live show coming to the U.S. in August 2012.  I have to admit it looks better than the Spider-Man Broadway Play.

Ultimate Spider-Man’s Death

Marvel is talking about the Ultimate Spider-Man Peter Parker dying in issue #160.  Librarians that want to have some talking points with their patrons that enjoy comic books can mention this topic for conversation.  This title just like the regular Spider-Man titles has had a clone saga storyline.  So don’t be surprised if after a year we hear that the new “unknown” Spider-Man will either be a clone or the original Peter Parker and it was a clone that died.  This is the comic book world so something will bring the character back.  Make the jump to read the full article.

Ultimate Spidey Gets New Look

Here is a talking point for librarians to use with your comic book fans.  In Ultimate Spider-Man the current storyline is the “Death of Spider-Man”.  Marvel’s website is reporting that their will be a new Spider-Man costume and a new character under the mask.  Remember when you are talking to your patrons that this storyline is taking place in the Ultimate Universe, not the regular Marvel Universe.  Link over to the brief article.

Spidey Setting Records

Click on over to Yahoo, below, about Amazing Fantasy #15 selling for a record $1.1 million.  This of course is the debut of Spider-Man.  If you have any collectors of comic books that come to your libraries this can give you a talking point with them.  This will demonstrate, even if you don’t really like the medium, you are interested in your patrons and what their interests happen to be.
