Taylor Casey has that folk song quality to his music. That quality comes through loud and clear in his single “The Kindness of Others”. The folk genre is one of those in between genres that will appeal to rock listeners as well as country listeners. I really enjoyed “The Kindness of Others” and can’t wait to hear his other offerings. Do you want to be by Nick’s side to? You can, take a listen to his latest single “By My Side”. This one has a mixture of pop and rap. I like it. The pop sound hits everyone’s One Direction button and then he comes in with the rap which flows really well. This is my first exposure to Nodaway and if “Coming Attractions” is literally what is coming ahead by Nodaway this will be fun. Nodaway is Chris Jobe, who has a nice clean voice and with “Coming Attractions” I love the bass beat. Take a closer look at his name Nodaway. The American Darlings have hit the ground running with their single “You and I”. American Darlings harken back to the sound of the late ’60’s to ’70’s. With this single you can hear bands with that particular sound coming through….early Beatles and other similar bands. “Wish” is Ultra Violent Rays latest single, that they are sharing with us. At first I wasn’t sure about this single, but as I listened to it the song grew on me. Oulipo’s, “Blue Flames” has a great beat that visually stimulates the listener. For me what I immediately went to in my head was a series or film in the vain of a Miami Vice. “Blue Flames” has definitely sparked my interest in Oulipo and will see what else they will be releasing.
