Adam Jensen is giving the ComicPop listeners a new “Ritual” to listen to. In “Ritual”, from the upcoming EP by the same name, Adam has a nice blend of soul and pop stylings. The verse is the more soul centered aspect of the single, while the chorus hits a more “poppy” sound. “Ritual”, to me, is more of a contemplative single that you just groove to. Pilgrim Speakeasy is sharing their single “Unbelievable” with our listeners. Pilgrim Speakeasy consider themselves avant pop which with this single you can definitely hear in this single. What the group says in their single is what most of us say to ourselves a lot while shaking our heads. It’s a catchy tune but be forewarned that it does have language in the single, but it isn’t used in a harsh way, but it is throughout the whole single. Bencoolen is sharing with the ComicPop listeners the title track off their upcoming album In Color. “In Color” is a mix of several different styles that meshes well. The opening is unexpected and you think big band, but then it goes into a catchy rhythm. Just by listening, in this single they has a Spanish influence. Fly Never Dies is sharing with the ComicPop listeners their single “Love and The Stars.” The single features Casey Shea and is from their just released EP by the same name The Love and The Stars. This single has a electro/pop feel and then shifts into hip hop for it’s chorus. Towards the end the intertwine the two styles which brings out a cool effect. “Love and the Stars” has a feel good quality to it that you will enjoy. And how many songs feature a wood block as an instrument, unless that is an electronic sound effect sometimes it’s hard to tell, but still a wood block was an interesting choice. The single “Villain” is being shared with our listener’s from Kyle Britton’s upcoming EP Riddle, scheduled for a June 10 release date. “Villain” kind of feels like an old western ballad at the beginning and then it shifts to a heavier beat. However, even the the drums heavier beat it feels like war drums. It’s a different sound for that I think our you will enjoy, because of the sense of gravity in the single.
