Alexis & The Samurai are sharing their single, “Dogs”, with our listeners. This is a very clean acoustical single that has a fun beat to it. It’s lighthearted and it goes in a variety of directions in tempos. You have an intermingling with folk and pop. The folk sound is evident in the verse and the pop really comes through in the chorus. Then you get to go on a piano journey with them towards the end of the single. The voices of the duo blend well with their harmonies and they are really fun to listen to. Jody Quine is letting our listeners have a listen to her latest single “Stand Up”. “Stand Up” is a powerful single that encourages the listener to “stand up” for themselves and others. This is a ballad that I believe all can enjoy especially if they pay attention to the lyrics. “Stand Up” isn’t an overpowering song, but it is a powerful song with a great folk/blues blend for the listener to enjoy. Von Sell is sharing with our listeners his single “Names”. From the beginning of “Names” you know it is a definite electronica/pop sound. During the middle section of the song it goes into an acoustical sound and then back to the electronica/pop feel. Von Sell has a nice clear voice that and one of my fears with electroinca music will overpower the singer. In “Names” Von Sell does blend in with the instruments, but it doesn’t over power his voice. Justin Baron is giving the ComicPop listeners an earful with his latest single “Girl with an Ego”. This is a strong entry into the pop field. With the hard beating drum beats and Justin’s strong vocals make this single a lot of fun. If you want a song to get you up out of your seat and move this is one that does it for me. Wild Fur is sharing with our listeners their latest single “Can You See Me”, from their upcoming album Feel Free. Wild Fur is the duo of Wylie Hunter and Nick Jaeger and with this single they take use the music stylings of the late 1960’s to Early 1970’s. The single has that electronic sound that is in the flower power and psychedelic arena, but it isn’t heavy handed. The single still has that slight pop feel to it that will attract listeners to its sound. Grammy nominated Anousheh has released her latest single “Bones” and she wants our listeners to experience it. “Bones” comes out of the gate swinging with a banging bass beat that gets your synapsis firing. Shikobi is delivering a hard rock feel to our listeners, with a touch of grunge mixed in with their single “Alive”. The single has a driving beat that puts the music right in the listeners face.
