The Pokemon franchise is adding another film to their credits. This July, in Japan, the Pokemon Company of Japan will be releasing the latest Pokemon film entitled Pokemon the Movie XY: Ring no Chomajin Hoopa. This being part of the Pokemon universe you can almost be positive that this movie will get a North American DVD/Blu-Ray release. Here is the trailer from the Pokemon Company Japan’s YouTube channel:
Pokemon has another movie that fans can place within their collection. Pokemon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction will be available on February 17. Check out the trailer for it through the The Official Pokemon channel on YouTube:
More to catch for Pokemon and CCG fans. Coming March 25, the Pokemon CCG game will get a Double Crisis expansion set. The set will include: 4 booster packs; collector’s pin; matching coin; and a code card for online play. The set when completed will be 28 cards, with 8 foil cards included in the set.
If you are into the card collecting you will want to look for the next round of product. November 19 the Pokemon card game will release the Hoenn Collection which will focus on Primal Reversion Pokemon: Treecko; Torchic; and Mudkip. It will also include two oversized cards of Primal Groudon-EX and Primal Kyogre-EX.
Then the Pokemon Collector Chest Tin will be coming out November 26. It will give the purchasers the accessories to play the card game. For the card collector it will come with three foil preview cards of: Treecko; Torchic; and Mudkip.

Get ready for more Pokemon! The expansion set for Pokemon: XY–Furious Fists is planned for an August release. The expansion will be available in 3 formats: Booster Packs; a Themed Deck; and an Elite Trainer Box. The set will be a 110 card set, so get ready to “catch them all”.
If you lean more into the TCC gaming then this set you will want to pick up. A Pokemon Garchomp-EX Box is scheduled to be release on April 2. This box contains the first time that the Garchomp-EX has been released as a foil trading card and will only be available in this box set. The set will also include an over-sized Garchomp-eX card and four booster packs and will retail at the suggested price of $19.99.
Art and Gem’s has some cool ring available and some still in the concept stage. Three are pictured above: Pokeball Engagement Ring (Concept); Police Box Wedding Bands ($380.00), and an Arc Reactor ring ($660.00). There are other designs as well that you can go to their site with the link below and view.
Pokemon’s newest sets for trading card collectible gamers to get ready for is the Pokemon XY–Kalos starter sets. The release date for the sets is November 8. Their will be three different sets each featuring a different character: Chespin; Fennekin; and Froakie. These three characters are part of the new “Fairy” type Pokemon that are new to the Pokemon Universe. There will also be new “Basic Fairy Energy” cards to power up the Fairy Type Pokemon. Booster packs will be available in February of 2014. So gamers will want to prepare for the new cards to add to your collections.
Nintendo is streaming this commercial on their YouTube channel for the new DS games Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. Do you need to catch them for your collection?
More TCG news. New cards in the Pokemon Universe will be released on May 18. The set is Pokemon: Black and White – Plasma Freeze and will be a 110 card set that will include EX Cards, ACE SPEC Cards, Trainer Cards and others.
