More “Kisses” for Everyone

kissesStudarus Kisses i1 sRGB 600x400 600x400 FALL IN LOVE AGAIN WITH KISSES [STREAM]

The dou Kisses is preping for the second LP, Kids in LA, to come out on May 14 on Cascine.  To wet our appetites they have shared their song “Huddle”.  You can definitely hear the Eighties influence in the music.  The voices are nice and clear which I always enjoy.  I don’t like it when instruments overpowers a singers voice.  I do want to hear the music and the different instruments being played.  However, many bands forget that the voice is also an instrument.  Thanks to Wild Honey Pie for the notice and check out their website for more Indy music news: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

R. Thomasin Album

R. Thomasin has released their self titled album for download here (http://rthomasin.bandcamp.com/album/r-thomasin).  Below is one of the songs from the album “Laurels”.  I do like their sound, but at times the instruments are to overpowering for me.  The lead singers voice blends in with the instruments really well, I kind of think of her sound like Enya and how her voice blended in with the instruments.  For more Indy Music news be sure to check out Wild Honey Pie at the following link: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

Color Collage Single

The first time I listened to Color Collage’s “Can’t Stay Put’ I didn’t enjoy it.  Maybe it was the mood I was in.  However, today while listening to it I really enjoyed the song.  Maybe it’s just one of those songs that has to grow on you or you have to be in the right mood for it.  Either way don’t take my word for it listen to it below and see what you think.  For more Indy music news link over to Wild Honey Pie: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

Kid Mountain Single

Kid Mountain is 5 young gentlemen experimenting with their music.  Their single “Happies” is out there, but also strangely melodic.  This is one that you have to be open to and it won’t be for everyone, but check it out you might enjoy it.  For more Indy music news go to Wild Honey Pie: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

The Hands offer sample of their upcoming album Synethesia

hands A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR HANDS [STREAM]

This reminded me of the ’80’s or was it ’90’s sound (pretty sure it ’80’s) when the big thing was synthesizers. With the song “The Game is Changing Again” the band the Hands have grabbed hold of that feel and ran with it.  If you were a fan of the music back then you will probably be a fan of this one.  Thanks to Wild Honey Pie and be sure to visit their website for more music news: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

Torres’ Debut Has a Good Sound

Mackenzie Scott’s (Torres) debut album is spotlighted with her song “Honey”.  I love Mackenzie’s voice, it is crisp and clear.  With “Honey” sounding like a personal song I would have used the drums, but rather than an electric guitar, I would have preferred an acoustic guitar so Mackenzie’s voice could be spotlighted that much more.  Definitely an album to consider for a growing music collection.  Thanks to Wild Honey Pie for the song below and check out more artists on their website (http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/):

Young Galaxy’s latest single “Fall For You”

Young Galaxy YOUNG GALAXY GETS GROOVY WITH FALL FOR YOU [STREAM]

Young Galaxy’s new album Ultramarine may not be out until April, but the band has given us a great new track to make the wait seem a little shorter. “Fall For You” is a welcomed new direction to the bands sound. Layered with a blanket of synth, island rhythms, and singer Catherine McCandless’ confident vocals, the song is more than a little charming.

Judging by the quality of both “Fall For You” and the albums first single “Pretty Boy”, it’s beginning to sound like Ultramarine will be the new album Young Galaxy fans have been hoping for.

Ghost Loft & Twice As Nice Remix

RISING VISIONARY
GHOST LOFT
TEAMS UP WITH TWICE AS NICE
FOR REMIX OF BUZZED ABOUT SINGLE “SECONDS”
EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE VIA BLAH BLAH BLAH SCIENCE

“Seconds” Spent Three Consecutive Days On Hype Machine’s Popular Chart As #1
SINGLE & VIDEO FOR ORIGINAL TRACK PREMIERED
EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH PIGEONS AND PLANES
Ghost Loft is back this week with a REMIX of his buzzed about single “Seconds” from LA-based/Australian Born production duo, Twice As Nice. Blah Blah Blah Science exclusively premiered this killer track and Ghost Loft is offering it up for free download and/or stream.
Ghost Loft’s breathtaking single and video for the original track of “Seconds” premiered exclusively through Pigeons & Planes. The site raved about the track: “The production has a bounce to it, but it’s a dark bounce, and with the Burial-type vocals on the chorus, the track takes on a cold tone despite the handclaps and hummable melody. In 2013, there’s certainly a place for gloomy-but-catchy pop, and Ghost Loft is doing it right.”

“The slow and sensual r&b track with a hip-hop background rhythm is enhanced by directors Daniel Iglesias Jr & Zack Sekuler ‘Ends’ which I think capture quite effectively the soothing love relationship between Choi and his distant lover,” says Crack In The Road of the song and video.
“Seconds” is on the rise.  The single spent three consecutive days at #1 on Hype Machine’s Popular Charts.  In addition, tastemaker Mark Ronson included “Seconds” in his latest FABRICLIVE MIX.
LA-based Danny Choi, the visionary behind Ghost Lost has remixed for rising acts, The Neighbourhood (“Let It Go” remix featured on Pigeons & Planes) & Icky Blossoms (“Heat Lightning” remix featured on The Fader).
Ghost Lost will release his highly anticipated debut EP later this year.
