Shaheen gives us that back street beat with his sound in his latest single “Flashbulbs”.  This one has a Stray Cats feel to me….I love the beat of that style of music.  It just gets me going.  Listen to “Flashbulbs” for yourself through SoundCloud to see what you think about it – Richard:

Those that enjoy the psychedelic genre will enjoy Buffalo Rodeo’s latest music for “Blue Sky”.  The single actually has a good beat and the lyrics aren’t as slurred as in some psychedelic music.  Now the music video itself has a strong psychedelic feel to it….So take a trip with Buffalo Rodeo with their music video “Blue Sky” they are sharing from their YouTube channel – Richard:

Take it from Greenberg “That Girl is Wrong for You”

city bird publicitygreenberg

City Bird has given ComicPop what I consider a cool/fun song.  “That Girl is Wrong for You” is Craig Greenberg’s single from his album The Grand Loss & Legacy.  It starts with a nice opening beat that builds up and then drops into the Randy Newmanesque voice and sound of Greenberg.  I for one love it!  Check it out through SoundCloud – Richard:

The Leeway Gives a Stirring Single with “If Only”

city bird publicityleeway

Wow, you don’t hear songs like this to often anymore.  The Leeway gives us “If Only” that has that piano lounge feel to it.  My thoughts went immediately to artists like Billy Joel and Barry Manilow.  Don’t know if this is The Leeway’s sound or if this was a one off for a change of pace, but it is really nice.  Check out their music video for “If Only” through the band’s YouTube channel.  Great job gentlemen – Richard:

“25” and Counting with Elaine Romanelli

city bird publicityelaine

This single, “25”, has just the right amount of light heartedness and seriousness that it is a winner in my books.  Elaine Romanelli gives us a fun song and music video (below) that gives us a journey through our lives, from where we are at to where we will be in the future.  I love the 29th grade (watch the music video and you’ll understand).  I also love that it is a piano focused single.  We don’t get those much anymore.  It goes to show you how much a piano can do just on it’s own.  Great song!, so be sure to watch “25”(… you will like it!) from her YouTube channel – Richard:

“My Relationship” by Nik West

Nik has some attitude, but in a good way.  She’s got a wild style and with “Relationship” a grooving single.  Have fun watching the music video for her single “My Relationship”, featuring Orianthi, through her YouTube channel.  It’s fun and I think you will like it – Richard:

“Party Dress” by Michael Stec

Michael Stec gives everyone a “Party Dress”.  Michael falls within the Rock genre, but not a heavy rock.  If you could maybe say lighter rock sound with “Party Dress”  The single has a catchy rhythm and hook so I believe most will enjoy it like I did.  Give Michael a listen through SoundCloud – Richard

Little Earthquake is Alive!

Little Earthquake’s latest, “I Am Alive”, has a great old style feel to it.  The single has a nice sound to it and is relaxing to a degree which they have feed off of for the music video for it.  Everyone give Little Earthquake’s “I Am Alive” a listen, through their YouTube channel, I think you’ll enjoy it – Richard:

Sweden’s Tom Levin gives us “Mind’s Eye”

city bird publicitytom levin

Tom Levin is one that surprised me.  Tom comes to us from Sweden with his debut single “Mind’s Eye”.  Looking at the pic above most people will wonder if this will be for them.  However, when you listen to Tom he has a very clear voice.  The opening hits you in the face with a tribal feel and then when Tom comes in the single takes on an almost folk feel.  So I guess you could say it has a tribal/folk feeling.  The lyrics are fun and with his baritone/bass voice gives it a powerful tone as well.  Take a listen through SoundCloud – Richard
