Thanks to ICv2 for posting this trailer of the Batman Live show coming to the U.S. in August 2012. I have to admit it looks better than the Spider-Man Broadway Play.
Marvel Thanking U.S. Armed Services
Marvel’s site is announcing that they and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service will be giving away a free special Captain America comic to soldiers, that celebrates the soldiers in today’s Armed Forces. This special issue will be available in U.S. Exchange Services first and then will hit the foreign Exchange Services. The story centers around Captain America’s effect on his fellow soldiers and will also give readers a sneak peak of the upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger. The comic is written by William Harms and illustrated by Shawn Martinbrough.

ICv2’s site is reporting that a sequel to Thor as been green lite. The release is scheduled for July 26, 2013. So we get Avengers next Summer and Thor the Summer after.

On Friday, July 29th, G4 will premiere the Madhouse produced anime series of Ironman and Wolverine. Ironman will be up first with an 11:00 p.m. (ET) showing followed by Wolverine at 11:30 p.m. (ET). If you get G4 as part of your cable package make a note or set your DVR’s.
Ultimate Spider-Man’s Death
Marvel is talking about the Ultimate Spider-Man Peter Parker dying in issue #160. Librarians that want to have some talking points with their patrons that enjoy comic books can mention this topic for conversation. This title just like the regular Spider-Man titles has had a clone saga storyline. So don’t be surprised if after a year we hear that the new “unknown” Spider-Man will either be a clone or the original Peter Parker and it was a clone that died. Wolverine Back in the News
It is being reported that James Mangold, the director of 3:10 to Yuma and Knight and Day has been tapped by 20th Century Fox to direct the next Wolverine movie. Hugh Jackman will be back in the title role of the film, currently titled The Wolverine. The screenplay is currently being written by Christopher McQuarrie is slated to begin filming this Fall in Japan. Jump over for a brief article below.
