Scooby-Doo Gets Legoed
For all you Lego fans out there….Look what’s coming in August. Lego has teamed up with Scooby-Doo to bring those meddling kids to you in brick form. They are testing the new license with three sets that include the: Mystery Machine; Haunted Lighthouse; and Mummy Museum. I didn’t get into lego when I was yound and still don’t collect them now, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think they are cool looking. Have fun building this August.

The Lighter Side of Video Games
It seems like Lego can do no wrong. People seem to love their toys and video games alike. So if you are a fan you will want to pick up Lego: The Hobbit for your video game collections. Fan Lego Sets Under Consideration
Here are some possible Lego sets for the future. During the year Lego takes Fan Concepts and if they get 10,000 supporters for their concept then the Lego company will consider it for an official set by Lego. In this go around some of the concepts that Lego will be looking at are: Macross sets; Legend of Zelda sets; Sherlock sets and; Back to the Future sets. Lego Surprise
This is just to odd. An eight foot lego man washed up on shore in Florida and was found by a man out for his morning walk on the beach. Yahoo’s Plugged In has the story and they comment that it was more than likely a stunt, but still that would be just way cool to find just lying around on a beach. If it was a stunt it was not one officially done through Lego, which has denied any affiliation with the event. Follow the link for the full article below and a related video.

Lego & Marvel Join Forces
Just like with DC, Marvel has signed a deal with Lego to produce playsets and characters based on Marvel Comic Book Characters. The line will be called “Lego Super Heroes Marvel Collection” and will draw from the Avengers, X-Men and Spider-Man titles.
DC Builds Relationship With Lego
Librarians need to let their DC Comics and Lego fans know about Warner Bros. making a deal with Lego to give them rights to produce Lego products of DC Comics characters. The figures and playsets will hit the shelves in 2012 with 13 figures to begin the DC Lego World, some of the figures will be: Batman; Superman; Wonder Woman; Green Lantern; Joker; Bane; Harley Quinn; and Lex Luthor.
