Charlotte Eriksson (The Glass Child) gives a powerful performance with her release of “Who Am I”, from her album, I Must Be Gone and Live, or Stay and Die. At times her voice gets lost in the chorus, but that kind of fits the song, because we all get lost at times in our lives and wonder “Who Am I” or what is my purpose in life. You can tell that she puts her emotional experiences in her music, through her voice. Eager to see what else she might give us in the future. Check out “Who Am I” through SoundCloud below – Richard:
Andre Costello & the Cool Minors Takes us “Places”
Andre Costello & the Cool Minors hit with a cool single for me. I enjoy Folk music and this is probably where they would fit the best. The single “Places” isn’t by any means a Folk Rock, but more in line with pure Folk to Folk Pop. It has a nice clear sound and the vocals are up front for everyone to enjoy while the instruments give a nice foundation for the single. If you are into Folk music you will definitely enjoy “Places”. Even if your not big into Folk give it a listen through the SoundCloud link below it has a catchy rhythm – Ricard:

Layne Gives us “Warrior”
Layne Putnam breaks out with here debut single “Warrior”. This single has a great feel to it. It isn’t slow or fast, but kind of in between. The verse is nice an clear and concentrates on Layne’s vocals and then when the chorus comes in the heavy bass beat comes in to get your had to rocking. Her voice within the chorus is mixed in with the instruments, but it isn’t completely lost, however to me the chorus feels like it was purposely made to spotlight the instruments more than her voice. Check it out through SoundCloud I think you will like it- Richard
Maudlin Strangers Music Video for the Single “Overdose”
“Overdose” is the title track for Maudlin Strangers upcoming EP. This group has a smooth sound to them. The lead singer has a clear and strong voice that reaches over the instruments with little ease. The band has the restraint not to overpower the lead singer even though they have some strong beats going on. The song is very melodic and will almost hypnotize you with the flowing rhythm. Check out the music video on the groups YouTube channel – Richard:

Little Daylight gives us “My Life” Music Video
Coming out of Brooklyn is the trio Little Daylight with their single “My Life”. “My Life” has a catchy rhythm that is infectious to me. The vocals are light and poppy, which isn’t a bad thing. I enjoy songs that have a light feel to them and just make you want to move your body. There is to much harshness in this world that it needs to be broken up with a little bit of fun. Little Daylight has that electro/pop feel in this song, that brings the fun. Hopefully, they will continue to have fun with their music, we all need that spot of sunlight. Take a look at their music video for “My Life” from their YouTube channel and let your body get to moving with Little Daylight – Richard:

Morgan Shaughnessy’s Single “February Moon”
“February Moon” has a little bit of an other worldly feel. Not quite psychedelic, but not far from it. The opening itself is different from what you would normally hear in a song, but it kind of adds to the other worldly or dreamscape (high) feel of the song. Check it out below through SoundCloud. It won’t be for everyone, but you might enjoy it – Richard
