New High Wire Music Video

THE HIGH WIRE

LNOE Video
Released 29 July 2013
Starring Ray Winstone
Directed by Mat Whitecross

This video and song are not going to make you want to get up and dance, but not all songs are meant to do that. This is one that makes you slow down and think. Check out The High Wire’s music video here or click on the link below to show them your support.

To coincide with the release of LNOE as a single on 29 July 2013, The High Wire are now sharing the official video. Directed by Mat Whitecross (Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, The Road To Guantanamo, Spike Island) and starring Ray Winstone, the video is set against the backdrop of Whitecross’ stunning film noir Ashes (2013) – an engrossing rumination on love over time, plagued by unanswered questions and lingering sadness.  Beautifully shot, it centers on Alzheimers-afflicted Frank (Winstone), whose surroundings are constantly changing and out of focus. Highlighting Frank’s condition and past relationship with his wife (played by Lesley Manville), the video perfectly suits the darker emotional undercurrent of the track. By turns abstract and heart wrenching, the video shares the apocalyptic bent of Fight Club’s skyscraper climax, fitting for a song as massive as LNOE.

Ghost Loft Astronaunt Remix

JOEL COMPASS

“ASTRONAUT (GHOST LOFT REMIX)”
OUT NOW

The London-born singer, songwriter, and producer Joel Compass offers an impressive combination of undeniable talent and huge commercial appeal. His latest track, “Astronaut,” got the Ghost Loft treatment this week, and now you can take it in. It’s got all of Ghost Loft’s trademarks – those spacey synths most especially. And don’t worry, it’s still got that awesome falsetto courtesy of Joel Compass. How could it not?
This is one where it makes me feel like I’m in a dream sequence.  “Astronaut” is a slower song and isn’t one that will have you up and dancing like crazy.  It is one were I could see danced to as a slow song where you have your partner in close and sharing this strange yet graceful dream.  I don’t know if I could listen to it multiple times in a row, but it is unique enough that I would have a place on my playlist for slower songs.

Two New Releases by Divine Fits

Divine Fits has released to new music videos for their new songs “Chained to Love” and “Ain’t That The Way”.  The sound of this band, for me is reminiscent of the ’60’s to early ’70’s bands.  The music is light and doesn’t over power the lead singer.  The music videos are kitschy as well with the “Chained to Love” being edited around old black & white movie scenes and then the “Ain’t That the Way” video  having that 1970 television feel.  Watch the videos below and see what you think and be sure to go to Wild Honey Pie’s site for more indie news http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/

Anna Rose’s New Album

The Enchanting Anna Rose Returns With
Behold A Pale Horse
Available August 6

When I listen to the two songs above they have two distinct feels.  Some artists stay in one grove, but Anna changes it up a little.  On “Behold a Pale Horse” to me it has a Folk feel to it with some Southern Rock mixed in for good measure.  Then you shift gears a little for “Beautiful World”.  “Beautiful World” feels like a Pop Country song.  I enjoyed both tracks and I like that the music doesn’t over power Anna’s voice.  It has a nice clear sound to it.
Check out the video links above and then see if she will be in your area below.

Ghost Loft Takes on “LNOE”

BRITISH / CANADIAN INDIE OUTFIT
The High Wire
Premiere FREE Ghost Loft Remix of Buzzed About Single “LNOE”

“’LNOE’ captivates with a high-flying melody that sticks, but the indie pop anthem has been transplanted into an electronic setting, taking on an almost apocalyptic tone that makes the “last night on Earth” line really come to life.”
Ghost Loft has been busy this last year in Remixing songs for several groups.  This is another one to add to their portfolio, “LNOE” performed by The High Wire.

The High Wire began in 2007 as a vehicle for singer/songwriter Tim Crompton. Tim started out recording tracks solo with Producer Julian Simmons (Guillemots, Midlake), until West coast Canadian Alexia Hagen and UK native Ross Forrest joined Tim as core members of The High Wire and the three-piece vision was established.

Bullitts New Single is Now Available to Hear

The Bullitts Reign:
With The Release Of The
Epic New Single “Murder Death Kill” Featuring Jay Electronica
This song isn’t what most people will think it’s about.  Most people will see “Murder Death Kill” and think right away that the artists are promoting violence.  However, from what I got out of the song is that it is trying to relate that this is were society is heading and are kids will have to deal with a harsher world than what we have now if we don’t do something to alter this outcome.  This is not only through violence needing to be less, but companies needing to rethink their actions and what happens when “accidents” happen.
The song itself I was not a big fan of until you hit the rap segment of the song.  The falsetto just didn’t do it for me.
The latest chapter in The Bullitts impressive story is the much-anticipated release of the Debut CD:  They Die By Dawn And Other Stories Out July 9.

In preparation for the album release The Bullitts drops his latest track:
“Murder Death Kill”

GroupLove finds “Ways to Go”

Grouplove gives us a new single and a video to go with it “Ways to Go”.  This is just full of catchy rhythms that just grab me.  The video is lighthearted as well and you can tell is was just to have fun with.  Great summer song!  Check out the music video below and for more indie music news visits Wild Honey Pies site here: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/ You can see additional Grouplove music videos on YouTube from their forth coming album Spreading Rumours.

Warm Water from Banks

Banks has a sound of a seductive songstress.  The quality of music is kind of Bluesy and her voice to me is similar to Bonnie Raitt.  She only has three songs out that I could find at this time “Warm Water” (which is below as a video), “Fall Over”, and “Before I Ever Met You”.  Looks like she is well on her way to getting enough material available to make an album.  For more indie music be sure to check out Wild Honey Pie’s website: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/
