Tron Stars Return to Film
Heavy Metal Getting Some Love
Looks like Heavy Metal is going to have another movie after all these years. ICv2 is reporting, from Hollywood Reporter, that Hoax Hunters, written by Michael Moreci & Steve Seeley with art by Christian Dibari, has a screenwriter and producer already attached to the property for film development. The screenwriter is Craig Titley and Don Murphy is one of the producers. Didn’t say if the film will be animated like Heavy Metal’s past movies or live action. Still interesting because I always enjoyed the Heavy Metal films.

Hawkgirl Cast for Another DC Comics TV Series
Ciara Renee joins a growing list of actors to be cast in the upcoming CW Spinoff of the Arrow and Flash TV series. Ciara has been cast as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl. Her fellow peers are: Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom; Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/Black Canary; Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave; Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold; and Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein. It’s fun to see the CW making a family of television series from DC Comics.

Star Wars Looks to the Future
The folks over at starwars.com have released some information about the future of the Star Wars franchise. Of course it isn’t a whole lot, but it is interesting. This summer filming will begin for the first stand alone Star Wars movie, entitled Rogue One, starring Felicity Jones. Rogue One is slated for a December 16, 2016 release. Then the next installment of the main movies, Star Wars VIII, is scheduled for a May 26, 2017, release and will be written and directed by Rian Johnson. We will see how much will change between now and then.
DC Comics Stop!
DC Comics have released the above images of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in new costumes, through HitFix and we got them from ICv2, after the current “Convergence” storyline running through the titles. The fans just not that long ago went with new costumes for DC’s “New 52”. I wish sometimes these companies would leave things alone. If it works why mess with it. I could handle the minor changes with the “New 52” costumes, but these I don’t know? Maybe they will grow on me or it’s just temporary.
