Raelyn Nelson Band is Coming at you with “Free”

This is to much fun! Raelyn Nelson Band is kickin’ it with their latest single Free. From the lyrics to the music video parodying several Brittney Spears music videos and looks is great. For me Free falls into the Country/Billy Rock or what they are calling Country/Garage Rock. They are sharing with us their music video for the single Free and be sure to give them a follow on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter and support them through your digital vendor of choice.

Battle Tapes release Music Video to “If Only”

Battle Tapes begins “If Only” with a slower electronic sound then moves into a nice drum transition with a harder beat. The single carries the faster base beat through the remainder of the song. The lead singer uses auto-tune through out the song at different points, mainly for the chorus. If you are a fan of the 1980’s – 1990’s synth-pop you will dig this single. As my first exposure to Battle Tapes I enjoyed the sound. If you enjoyed them as well be sure to subscribe to them on YouTube and check out your digital vendors of choice to give them your support.

“Love in The Dark” by Plastic Martyr

Plastic Martyr is sharing with us her single “Love in the Dark”. Her music video for the single has recently dropped and she wanted to share it with our listeners here are ComicPop Library.

The single covers a harsh reality for several people that their love is not always enjoyed and shown to all to see by their partner. This really hits the heart hard when everyone in this world is looking to be loved and wants the whole world to see that love shining through.

Plastic Martyr takes that serious theme and weaves a powerful ballad around it. I love her voice and how it isn’t drowned out by the instrumentals. The down beat that she has in this single gets the beat into your body and makes it move with the rhythm.

Really enjoy this single and can’t wait to hear what she comes out with next. Here’s Plastic Martyr’s “Love in the Dark” music video through her YouTube channel and be sure to download her single from your digital vendor of choice – Richard:

Austin Ward’s Single “Bubblegum”

Austin Ward is sharing with our listeners his new single “Bubblegum”.  Currently Austin is working on an EP to be released later this year, but he wanted everyone to check out his sound.  With “Bubblegum” one would think this is going to be bubblegum pop music, but it isn’t.  Austin takes the listener on a slow melodic journey.  As they say at the dance hall’s, “this is one for the slower dancers” so get your partner and sway to the music as you listen to Austin Ward’s “Bubblegum” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Fiona Grey’s New Single “Dirty Dream”

“Dirty Dreams” comes out from the start with a hard base beat that carries through the single.  I can definitely hear this being played in a club.  Fiona’s voice and the style of music that she has with “Dirty Dreams” really reminds me of Marina and the Diamonds (for those of you that have been with us you might remember April reviewed one of their albums back in the day).  Besides Marina and the Diamonds I also got a Katy Perry feel with this single.  This is just a fun song and Fiona hits all the marks with ease.  Really enjoyed it and can’t wait to hear what she will be on her forthcoming EP.  Until then here’s Fiona Grey’s “Dirty Dreams” through SoundCloud – Richard:

Presley Tennant’s Christmas Single “Santa Tell Me” Cover

I know it is after Christmas, but this came in from Presley Tennant and I wanted to feature it.  This fits in with our last post for our Christmas podcast discussing the manga, Sweet Rein.  Presley covers Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me” to share the Christmas joy with everyone.  Presley gives our listeners a great rendition of this single with a pure voice that shines through.  The music video has a young feel to it that makes it fun to watch.  It’s going to be exciting to see what other presents Presley will give listeners this next year.  So take a moment after your holiday season to remember the weekend with Presley Tennant’s music video, where she covers “Santa Tell Me”, from her YouTube channel – Richard:

Presley Tennant’s “BFF” Music Video

Presley Tennant is sharing with our listeners her new single and music video “BFF” that features Well Written.  I love the spin Presley has put on the “BFF” meaning, because we’ve all had them, and to know what I mean you will have to watch and listen to her music video.  Anyway “BFF” lands squarely in the pop genre.  Presley is full of energy in her singing that is shown in this single with its upbeat fast tempo.  But she didn’t stop there.  In her music video she delivers a ton of energy as well, which captures the viewer to watch it.  I love upbeat tempo in my music and this one hits it perfectly for me.  Yes, the single is a little snarky, but that’s part of the appeal.  Have some fun by checking out Presley Tennant’s “BFF” music video from her YouTube channel – Richard:

Midnight Beach’s Music Video for “No”

Midnight Beach is sharing with our listeners again.  This time they want everyone to check out their music video for their single “No” from their self-titled LP.  Midnight Beach still comes out with the electronica sound, but with a slower bass beat.  The mixing for this single is tremendous.  With the softer lead vocals and the heavy bass beat the vocals could have been lost within the instrumentals.  However, the mixer made sure the vocals were a distinct track that rose above the instrumentals.  The music video is crisp and clean and fun to watch.  The dancing is right out of the late 1980’s – 1990’s as well as the sound.  Their self-titled LP is out now!  Here’s Midnight Beach’s music video, for “No”, through Vevo – Richard
