Cool Thing To Do
This is a cool thing that the window washers agreed to do for the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The window washers dressed up as Captain America, Batman, Spider-Man, and Superman and greeted children at the windows on each floor as they went down the side of the hospital one floor at a time. The hospital helped by purchasing the costumes and letting the gentlemen take pictures with the children. Very cool gesture from everyone involved. DC/Capstone Writing Contest
DC and Capstone are working together with a writing contest that they are sponsoring. The contest is for grades 3 – 6 and is entitled “Be a Super Hero, Read!” The child will need to write about a real hero in their lives and the person’s “powers”. The winner with receive a trip for 4 to Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment. The person described in the essay will receive a $2500 prize to donate to the charity of their choice. The contest is from March 1 – April 15. Then starting May 15 kids can read the essays online and vote for the winner, which will be announced at Book Expo America.
Superman: Unbound

Star Trek & Superman Movie Posters

DC Deck Building Game
Cryptozoic Entertainment is coming out with a DC Comics Deck-Building Game. The deck will have 214 cards. Release date for the game is for December 2012 and has a suggested retail price of $40.00. So if any of the libraries out there are into card gaming and card gaming tournaments you might want to pick this set up.
