Miriam Tamar is sharing with our listeners again. This time it is her live performance at the Nest, where she performed her single “Come To Me”. Miriam still uses her voice to full advantage which is pure smoothness to the ear. With “Come to Me” we still get that international flare to her music that places it apart from other pop songs you might hear on your radio. The music video is a live performance so it features Miriam and different members of her band. Major Love Event is a group based out of Portland, OR that is sharing their single “Sandy Sound”. The way this single is constructed, with a staccato beat, gives the verses a poppy sound and then it goes into a more flowing sound for the chorus. With this type of rhythm, being so catchy, it makes the listener almost unconsciously bob their head. Omar Alhindi is sharing with our listener’s his latest single. In “Don’t Take My Love Away” he gives a solid performance. From the instruments to his voice it is all clicking. It also has a smooth flow to it that washes over the listener. When listening to the single I went to Hall & Oates in style, it really reminded me of something they would do and Omar’s voice is similar to Hall’s as well. “Don’t Take My Love Away” is from Omar’s debut album Bedhead Part 1 that you should be able to locate on your digital vendor of choice. Monogold is sharing with our listeners their second music video. This one is for their single “Naked”. The single and music video remind me the early 1990’s. The rhythm of the single just carries that feel with it and the singers blending with the instruments is the same 1990’s feel. The music video has a vibe that seems to be an homage to the film Benny & Joon from the 1990’s as well. I get this vibe because of the look and quirks of the lead in the video. Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars is coming to select theaters on August 21, through Fathom Events. It is a CG animated movie that is a sequel to the live action Starship Troopers movie of 1997. Ed Neumeier, the screenwriter for the 1997 film, is the screenwriter again for this sequel and Casper Van Dien (Johnny Rico) and Dina Meyer (Dizzy Flores) will reprise their roles by providing the voices for their characters. So check with you local theaters and maybe you will be one of the few that can see this film on the big screen. Here’s the trailer through Fathom Events YouTube channel:
