New Steampunk Card Game
Here is another card game for the CCG collectors, but this one will also appeal to the Steampunk fans. Welcome to Koryo, which takes place in a steampunk alternate history universe were you are thrust into the political arena. The game is for 2 -4 players and will contain: 45 character cards; 10 event cards; 8 season cards; 8 victory tokens; 1 first player token; and a rule book. The artwork for the cards is provided by Stephane Gantiez and Ian Parovel. Koryo is coming to you from Asmodee and Moonster Games and it is slated for an October release.

The Wyld were nice enough to give away their debut album, ‘Preface‘, for free on Pigeons and Planes last month. Now they’re premiering their high octane new single, “Odyssey,” on Complex.

The Wyld have a mix of Rap and Electronic Pop, very interesting. This New Zealand group has the beats hitting you full force and the vocals are clear so you can enjoy the complete package. That being said they have a sound that isn’t quite main stream, so it might take a few listens to let their music sink in. Give them a chance you might find you enjoy them. New Zealand outfit The Wyld just finished recording Odyssey, along with the rest of their upcoming EP, Abstract, in the Red Bull Studios in Auckland. Needless to say, the title is a perfect encapsulation of The Wyld’s gracious pairing of ballooning, smoothly layered lyrical flow and fever-pitch rhymes. The song comes together strand by strand with drum beats, synths, Mo’s raps and Brandon Black’s welcomingly gentle harmonies weaving together a cord of musical adventure.

Bushiroad gets Miku
Here’s one that might have some cross over appeal. Bushiroad is adding to it’s Weiss Schwarz trading card game with the set entitled Hatsune Miku Project Diva f. This will appeal to your CCG collectors, Hatsune Miku fans, and J-Pop fans. The set will have 100 cards and has a planned release date of November 1. The set will include gold foil chase cards and autographed cards by Saki Fujita, who voiced the vocaloid. The set will be sold in Trail Decks and Booster Packs. However, for the collectors that want the whole set seven of the cards are exclusive only in the Trail Decks, so you will need to get a Trail Deck no matter what for you gaming collection.
Opening to Fairy Fencer F
On this last Wednesday, Compile Heart began streaming the opening to the new Fairy Fencer F role-playing game, which will be available on PlayStation 3 in Japan on October 10. There is no release date for the North American market. However, I’m posting this because we get to hear Maho Matsunaga, a member of StylipS sing the opening entitled “Resonance World” and we don’t get to hear to many J-Pop songs. So thank you to “CompileHeartOFFICIAL” channel for releasing the opening, I enjoyed listening to it and you can check it out below:

Miyazaki to Retire
Koju Hoshino, President of Studio Ghibli, announced at the Venice Film Festival that Hayao Miyazaki will be retiring. Miyazaki’s latest animated film The Wind Rises will be his last film. Other films that everyone knows him by are Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, and many others that are to numerous to list. His films have become classics in the animated world and Miyazaki is considered a Master and Champion of the animated film.

Marvel’s latest Event, Infinity Trailer
Marvel’s newest event is Infinity. If you are picking up the individual issues I hope you already got your first issue. For library’s this will need to be placed on your radar for early 2014 when I’m sure the six part story will be collected into a hard back edition and then later still in a trade paperback edition.
