Yu-Gi-Oh Advent Calendar

I know Christmas is a ways away, but I just wanted to get in a cheery mood (Ho, ho, ho). Konami is doing an advent calendar, which has totally escaped my attention in the past. This gives Logan something new to look for as well.

The advent calendar is set to be release on October 26 and will feature, but of course, holiday themed Yu-Gi-Oh cards that you can add to your collection and/or decks. The 24 card set will include 14 Super Rare cards and 10 Ultra Rare cards. So get ready to enjoy the holidays with this set this year!

Barbudo’s Music Video for “Secret Admirer”

Barbudo’s is sharing with our listeners their latest music video of their new single “Secret Admirer”. When the music hits you, you get that funk late 1960’s – 1970’s style from the band. In the video the Walkman makes you think 1980’s, but the rest of the video is styled just like the single using that funk inspired feel.

There are times, with the camera angle, that the lead singer in his outfit and hair style give me Davy Jones feels of the Monkees. The music video is a longer video clocking in at over 5 minutes, but the flow of the music and fun feel of the video makes it feel like it isn’t that long.

Been a Busy Time With Life

Just wanted to drop a line for everyone and let them know that we are still here. My personal life took a turn on the wild side for the last few months. Posts and episodes have been few and far in between.

The recording studio we recorded in has close it’s doors so we are in the process of finding another location or creating a studio on our own. Because of this almost every spare time between when we found out until we couldn’t record anymore has been spent stock piling podcasts so we can still put out episodes during our search time.

I have also recently changed jobs which has caused even more busy times within my life and getting used to driving for an hour to get to work again.

I will try to make the post more frequent and will begin editing more episodes to get content back on the site. I appreciate all the patience you have given ComicPop during this transition.

Batman Ninja Trailer

The latest in the Batman animated films is Batman Ninja. This story takes our Bat Family back in time to a historic Japan. I have to admit it is cool to see different designs for the Bat Costumes and this one is one of my favorites with Logan and I being fans of Anime. Looks very cool. Vess Releases Debut Single “Never Leave You Alone”

Vess is a new artist on the scene for everyone to experience. He is sharing with our listeners take a listen to his debut single “Never Leave You Alone” from his forthcoming album Shadows. Vess uses sounds that are reminiscent of the late ’80’s early ’90’s with his use of electronic media and the way his voice comes through the single. This gives the single a very atmospheric feel. Update on Yu-Gi-Oh! Mega Tins for August

Konami has given an update for the upcoming August Yu-Gi-Oh Mega Tins. They are giving everyone a heads up of some of the cards that will be randomly in packs. These cards are: Barreload Dragon; Dragonic Diagram; Evenly Matched; and Saryuja Skull Dread. They have also given us the names of the Jaden and Yusei cards. Jaden’s will be Elemental HERO Nebula Neos and Yusei’s will be Junk Speeder. So keep an eye out for these mega tins come August.
