Star Wars Rebels Official Trailer

star wars rebels4

Everyone is gearing up for Star Wars Rebels.  This is one I will have to catch on DVD or Blu-ray because we don’t get Disney XD.  Thanks to the “Star Wars” channel on YouTube for the following trailer:

Boy Epic is Hitting It

boy epic

Boy Epic’s ‘Paralyzed’ is the perfect example for less is more. The flowing, softer instrumental’s lets the listener actually hear the lyrics. The slower tempo also allows us to understand the lyrics. I love the new idea of how love feels, everyone’s heard tons of love songs and sometimes they can all start to blend together. ‘Paralyzed’ sticks out because of the ballad feel of it mixed with creative lyrics. The video went very well with the song, it complemented it in all the right ways. I’ve talked about how I hate videos that are just words but there is a difference between those videos and Boy Epic’s. Instead of forcing the listener to also read multiple slides he is keeping their interest by slowly unveiling what the picture and word is. It keeps the listener engaged and they’re less likely to exit out of the video. I also really enjoy Boy Epic’s unique sense of style and how he is photographed. Prince reboot, anyone?

Thanks to the Karla of the Muse Box for alerting us about Boy Epic.  Check out the video that April mentioned below from Boy Epic’s YouTube channel “boyepicmusic”:

This Looks Like a Fun Tour

If you are in the Mountain of Hakone area or planning on a trip there this looks to be a fun tour, especially if you are an Initial D fan.  The Mountain of Hakone is the setting for the Initial D Fifth Stage Anime.  Fun2Drive Owner’s Club is introducing an Initial D car rental service.

The cars available are Takumi’s Panda Trueno AE86 and the Takahashi Brothers cars: RX-7 FC3S; and the RX-7 FC3S.  It is being marketed as the “Initial D Sacred Pilgrimage Tour: Comparative Drive Pack, Hakone Edition.”  The tour will run from May to September and will encompass four racing sites from the series: Nagao Pass; Hakone Turnpike; Shichimagari Pass; and the Tsubaki Line.

The cost is 14,980 yen/$146.00 and an additional 1,980 yen/$19.00 charge for each additional driver.  Rental fees for the vehicles are: 2,980 yen/$29.00 for the Trueno; 3,980 yen/$39.00 for the FC3S; and 4,980 yen/$49.00 for the FD3S.

Have fun if you go!
