The Mix Gives Everyone a Treat

To show that music can touch the hearts of everyone The Mix brings their style of music to North America, traveling from their home country Germany. The band is spotlighting “Give Autism a Voice” for this tour and the band is comprised of a variety of unique individuals. As most will know, we have mentioned on a couple of our podcasts that Logan, one of our Co-Host, has Aspergers, so this hits close to home. If they happen to come to your area (sadly they won’t be in our area) be sure to put them on your calendar for an entertaining evening and to give them your support. MOXXI’s Single “Ransom”

MOXXI is a very unique individual, and am I the only one that thinks of YouTube’s Boxxy whenever you say her name? lol Anyways, I thought MOXXI’s song “Ransom” was overall very good. Usually I’m not a fan of electronic music but because this song had a lower sound to it I really enjoyed it. MOXXI herself I was torn about; I didn’t mind her voice not being as clear because the music was clear and she sang in a comfortable register but I couldn’t understand her words. The vibe for “Ransom” was also a little confusing and I didn’t enjoy it very much. I couldn’t make sense of the video but I think if I understood MOXXI’s words it would make more sense.

This song is definitely one you will hear at a nightclub. MOXXI, I believe is intentionally blending her voice with the music. It doesn’t sound bad, but it does make it hard to hear the lyrics as April commented on. – Richard

Attack on Titan Marathon

On August 30, the Adult Swim Toonami block, on Cartoon Network will be airing a Labor Day Marathon of the first twelve episodes of Attack on Titan. If you haven’t been able to catch the series and you have the time this will be a great way to get into the show. Check you local listings for airing time. Wonder Festival Honda Concept Bike

This is a sweet looking ride. For Wonder Festival, at the Makahari Messe near Tokyo, Honda made a concept motorcycle (pictured above). Honda took one of their NM4-2 series and made a Knights of Sidonia SciFi anime inspired motorcycle. Very cool.

Star Wars Table Top Strategy Game

Fantasy Flight Games is coming out with Star Wars Armada, a table top strategy game in 2015. The game is for two players and comes with several unpainted and some painted ships from both the Empire and Rebel Alliance. In addition the box set will include 130 cards, a variety of tokens and dice and of course instructions. The game itself is for two players and will be of interest to table top players as well as Star Wars fans. Projected price at this time is set at $99.95, so you better start saving up for it now.
