Arrow/Flash CrossOver Event

I know the pic above says Flash vs. Arrow, but I’m an Green Arrow fan, so for me he will always get top billing.  Anyway, this looks like a great two part crossover.  Check out the promo below from the “Television Promos” YouTube channel:

Clemency Starting a Six Song/Music Video Venture

blackpandaPRclemncy

The dou Clemency is starting a venture that will span six songs and their related music videos entitled You’ve Got the Fire.  The trailer for the experiment is below from their YouTube channel, but they have not yet released the first single/music video.  Their website is http://www.clemencyonline.com/  so keep an eye on it and hopefully Margo will keep us informed about each release.  It looks interesting.

Lady Low’s Latest “When I Do Wrong”

museLady low

I don’t know why but this song just hit me just right.  Like Lady Low’s previous single this single, “When I Do Wrong” isn’t one that will get you up moving.  It is a slower song, but that is their intent.  The lyrics and instruments are simple, but evocative.  Give “When I Do Wrong” a listen through SoundCloud – Richard

Ghost in the Shell Ground Breaking Science

Masamune Shirow gave science fiction fans Ghost is the Shell as a glimpse of what our future may be like.  Now NTT Docomo Ventures is funding projects to look into the technology aspects of Ghost in the Shell to bring the science fiction technology to actual science technology.

The pictures above show Professor Masahiko Inami’s research into “optic camouflage” that allows the wearer to blend in with his/her environment.  Naotaka Fujii is working on a head mounted display, “substantial reality system”, that plays pre-recorded images along with reality display.  The last picture shows Shuuji Kajita’s work with humanoid robots.

So as has been done before we have individuals working on bringing our science fiction to life.  Check out the full article and video at AnimeNews Network here: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2014-11-25/japanese-scientists-bring-us-closer-to-world-of-ghost-in-the-shell/.81311

Riot Police Release their Single “She Knows”

museriot

Riot Police is for individuals that like high pitched singers.  When the lead started singing “She Knows” in his high register I felt a Maroon 5 influence.  Even with the higher notes the vocalist is able to keep the lyrics clear and they keep the instrumentalist at a lower volume so not to interfere with the lead singer.  Check out their video for “She Knows” from the bands YouTube Channel – Richard
