MIRK’s Latest Single “Rocketship”
MIRK has given us a sneak peek of their upcoming album Run, which the single “Rocketship”. This is one that will get your head a bobbing. The rhythm of the single is very catchy. Plum Wine Anyone?
The village of Hibiki in Oyama, Oita, has produced a new season of wine that is Attack on Titans inspired. The wine is plum wine and will feature artwork from series creator Hajime Isayama. The special connection this all has is that Isayama’s hometown is Hibiki. The artwork on the bottles when set side by side will form an image of Levi and Erwin. If you have a friend that lives in Japan and can get these for you or you happen to be over there and happen to find them they will set you back 3.780 Yen or approximately $32.00.
Lily Elise’s Music Video for “Suitcases”
Lily Elise gives us her music video for her single “Suitcases”. Lily has one of those rich full voices that fits well with R&B. Sailor Moon Musical
Japan enjoys making all forms of entertainment with successful properties. This time it is the Sailor Moon Musical, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. The DVD, of the casts performance, is scheduled for a January 28 release in Japan. The suggested price is 7.800 Yen, which would roughly be $70.00 in U.S. currency. Alec Chambers Music Video for “Whole Again”
We got to listen to Alec Chamber’s’ single “Whole Again”, now we get to see his music video for the single. The single was already catchy and now we have a music video that has a nice romantic story flow to it. These are the type of music videos I enjoy rather than just see the performer. Great job. Nana Mizuki’s latest “Eden”
Some J-Pop/Rock love. Nana Mizuki’s “Eden” came out this last week of January 12 – 18 and ranked #2 on the Oricon’s CD single chart. During this time the some sold 43,413 copies. Below you can see the short version of the music video of “Eden” through YouTube:
Part 1 of Clemency’s Music Video Series “You’ve Got the Fire”
Here is the first part of Clemency’s music video series You’ve Got the Fire, “Color Hit the Canvas”. We previewed the trailer earlier and now Jason and Paul Watkins have begun their story. Captain Harlock Coming to North America
Finally some news about a North American distributor for Space Pirate Captain Harlock. Ketchup Entertainment has stepped up and will be distributing the CG film, with a March 3 slated release date. All of you that have been around for a while will remember this anime and manga from back in the day. This film is an adaptation of Leiji Matsumoto’s manga.
Sweden’s Tom Levin gives us “Mind’s Eye”
Tom Levin is one that surprised me. Tom comes to us from Sweden with his debut single “Mind’s Eye”. Looking at the pic above most people will wonder if this will be for them. However, when you listen to Tom he has a very clear voice. The opening hits you in the face with a tribal feel and then when Tom comes in the single takes on an almost folk feel. So I guess you could say it has a tribal/folk feeling. The lyrics are fun and with his baritone/bass voice gives it a powerful tone as well. Take a listen through SoundCloud – Richard
