We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.
The latest Gundam title is Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and is already showing in Japan. With other Gundam properties coming to North America hopefully this one will arrive eventually as well. Check out the short TV add that is airing for the show in Japan:
The Classic Kids’ looks to have embraced the boy band style with their single “Just Begun”. This took be back to a mixture of New Kids on the Block and Back Street Boys combined. I myself am an unashamed supporter of boy or girl bands. They always seem to have a fun vibe in their music and that what I love about them and The Classic Kids’ single “Just Begun”. For all you video gamers out there a new Sword Art Online is heading your direction. Bandai Namco Entertainment is scheduled to release Sword Art Online: Lost Song, for the PS4 and PS Vita, November 13 for Europe and November 17 for North America. Get you controllers warmed up to play but until then here is the trailer from Bandai’s YouTube channel:
Tribe Society gives the listeners here at ComicPop and at large a hard hitting refix of Major Lazer’s “Lean On”. The single features M0 and with this refix the listener won’t have a chance to get bored. Tribe Society hits hard from the beginning with their instrumentals and drives them all the way through the single. The star is definitely the instrumentals which in this case for me works. Victoria Celestine’s single “Something More” has an infectious electronic/pop beat that gets your head to bobbing. Victoria’s voice is nice and clear and easy on the ears. Shannara Chronicles 2nd trailer makes me want to see this even more. Everything looks to be produced really well. I know it’s only screen shots that we are only getting in this trailer, but it still looks cool and January is getting closer. Check it out through MTV’s YouTube channel:
Several have enjoyed Rozes single “R U Mine”. So much so that two remixes have come about for it. SteLouse and Lost Kings have done remixes for “R U Mine” and each one sounds cool. SteLouse has a DubStep feel while Lost Kings give it an electronic feel so they are different in their own way. Check out both remixes through SoundCloud and have fun – Richard:
If you like your manga and comics in the digital format here is good news for you. Kodansha Comics has made a deal with Comixology to distribute 350 titles on their digital platform, to include titles such as Attack on Titan and Fairy Tail. Enjoy all that reading!
Hy Brasil is sharing with us their single and music video “Tightrope”. The single has a very smooth pace that transitions into a great driving beat for the chorus and back to the smoothness for the verse.
