Fox Looking at Gotham

ICv2 is reporting that the FOX network has placed and order for a Gotham series after a bidding war between networks.  The show will feature a young Commissioner Gordon and will not feature Batman.  It is to be along the lines of the old DC Comics series Gotham Central, which some of you might have in your collections.

Cool Thing To Do

This is a cool thing that the window washers agreed to do for the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.  The window washers dressed up as Captain America, Batman, Spider-Man, and Superman and greeted children at the windows on each floor as they went down the side of the hospital one floor at a time.  The hospital helped by purchasing the costumes and letting the gentlemen take pictures with the children.  Very cool gesture from everyone involved.  You can read the complete story with the link below.

Kia’s DC Custom Cars

Kia and DC have had fun this year.  Kia has produced five custom Kia cars to reflect five DC comic book characters.  The main theme is of course DC’s Justice League and the five cars, shown above, are in order: Batman; Aquaman; Flash; Green Lantern; and Cyborg.  Pretty cool!

New Style of HeroClix

WizKids has introduced a new dynamic to their HeroClix brand.  Starting with the Batman: Gotham City Strategy Game will have interchangeable dials.  Two sets will come with the game and the players get to choose which dial they want to play the game with.  Then in Spring of 2013, Teen Titans HeroClix will be released with the SwitchClix dials and then in the Summer of 2013 the Wolverine and the X-Men will be released with the same game features.  This will probably be the standard from this point on, if I was guessing.  Thanks to ICv2 for the information.

HeroClix “No Man’s Land” Event

WizKids is having a DC HeroClix’s event.  The event revolves around the Batman storyline “No Man’s Land”.  Have your gamers that are into HeroClix check with their local gaming stores to see if they will be participating in this event.  Prizes will include limited edition figures, like the Poison Ivy above and a Grand Prize of the Batcave, also pictured above.  Good luck to all you gamers.
