Heavy Object looks to be an anime that people that enjoy futuristic war stories will enjoy. Part 1 of the first season is now available from FUNimation. For libraries you might want to wait until it is collected into a complete collection set before purchasing, but for fans that want to add it to their collections now I can understand. Bien Bien is sharing with our listeners again with their second single “Lake Superior”, from their upcoming EP She Grooves Me. Bien Bien is continuing on with that Seventies vibe with this single. The instrumentals have a that twinge of psychedelic and slow grooving sound to it. The vocals sway with the music to give it that grooving sound. The Classic Kids are still hitting it out of the park with their 1980’s inspired music with their single “Daydream”. We loved The Classic Kids EP Forever Strong that we reviewed back in our 42 episode of ComicPop Rockin’ in the Dirt and I personally enjoy this latest single from them. The music video is fairly standard that features the band as they perform for the camera. But with The Classic Kids I just want to listen to their music and have fun. Polly Baker is letting our listeners take a peek at her music video “Wild”. “Wild” is a great sounding country single that takes you back to the country I used to listen to in the 1980’s. Very clean and easy to listen to. With the music video even though the single is more traditional the video has a fun modern feel to it. KingWashington is sharing with our listeners their single “My Reflection”. KingWashington’s sound has a very 1970’s feel to it with this single. The vocals are more of a breathy feel, but I believe the band recognizes this and has their instrumentals done at a softer level so they don’t over power the vocals. On listening to “My Reflection” I always came back to them having a similar sound as say America. Basically a smooth rock sound.
