6 New Licenses Announced by FUNimation
FUNimation announced at Anime Expo six new licenses that they acquired. The six titles are: science fiction story – Steins;Gate; a risque comedy – B Gata H Kei – Yamada’s First Time; post-apocalyptic – Deadman Wonderland; Fantasy – Baka and Test 2nd series; science fiction comedy – Cat Planet Cuties; and a financial thriller {C}. Harvey Award Nominees
The Harvey Awards Nominees have been announced and can be viewed at their website by the link below. The winners will be announced at the Baltimore Comic-Con on Saturday August, 20th.

Thor 2 in the Works
ICv2’s site is reporting that a sequel to Thor as been green lite. The release is scheduled for July 26, 2013. So we get Avengers next Summer and Thor the Summer after.
Japan Still Having Fun With Drawings
Japan is at it again by using manga style drawings to represent Articles of the Japanese Constitution. Yuko Morita is a lawyer in the Daini Tokyo Bar Association and uses the pen name Aka-Neko to write and draw manga. Recent she and the publisher PHP Kenkyusha has released Constitution Girls – Nihon-Koku Kenpo, which depicts each Article of the Japanese Constitution as moe girls (See above).

Thundercats Debut
Cartoon Network has announced that Thundercats will be debuting on Friday, July 29, at 8:00 p.m.(ET). Then the series will be regularly broadcast beginning August 5th at 8:30 p.m. (ET).
Frazetta Contest
If you have some patrons that need something to do this week and holiday weekend let them know about Dark Horse’s Frazetta Contest. Dark Horse wants the person to take a picture re-enacting a Frazetta Conan cover of their choice. If there are multiple people on the cover you can use friends to pose with you. If you are 18 and older you can enter the contest by July 4th. Two winners will be chosen and they will receive all eight Conan: The Frazetta Series cover titles. Link below for more information.

Dark Horse is Taking a Survey
Head on over to Dark Horse Comics site, linked below, to possibly win a Buffy Trade. Dark Horse is taking a product survey that is six questions in length and the sixth is providing your E-mail to be entered into a contest were three participants will win a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 – Last Gleaming graphic novel. Not to bad a deal for just taking a few minutes out of your day.
