The Stand in Theaters

ICv2 is reporting that Stephen King’s The Stand is in production at CBS/Warner Bros.  I’m sure some of the attention is being brought back to this novel because of Marvel’s current graphic novel adaptation of The Stand.    It is kind of ironic that Disney is not helping produce this film since they bought Marvel recently, but Warner Bros. is who just recently bought DC Comics.  If they treat this movie as a multi-part as the article suggests this could be a decent movie.  If your library doesn’t have the collected editions of this work, it would be a great addition to the library.  Remember that Marvel is still adapting the novel, so the complete story has not yet been collected into Hardback or Trade Paperback, just up to it’s current book.  Follow the link for the full article.
