We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.
Here is a footnote for the Young Adult/Graphic Novel collections. Librarians should remember American Born Chinese, created by Gene Yang. Yang has now entered the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, by writing Volume 1: The Promise. You will want to tell your purchasing person to add this book to the list for your collections.
If you are in the area and can get in don’t forget that the New York Comic Con is next weekend, October 13-16. If you already have your tickets have fun at the Con.
The third season of Superhero Squad will air today on Cartoon Network. This is one that librarians can recommend to parents of young children that are starting to be introduced to the world of Superheroes.
