MiniPop 2: Letting the Young Lyons’ EP Loose

MiniPop 2: Letting the Young Lyons’ EP Loose

Join April, Chris, and Richard as we spotlight the Tulsa, Oklahoma based band Young Lyons’ EP Crash Course.  Listen as April, in her teenage forthrightness, tells us why she didn’t like everyone song, but Richard enjoyed the whole EP and they agreed to disagree.

Thank you again to Karla MacDonald, of The Muse Box, for setting up the visit we had earlier with John Lyons and providing the EP for review.  John’s visit can be found at this link, http://comicpoplibrary.com/news/ep-14-of-comicpop-visits-with-young-lyons-lead-singer-john-lyons/, in our podcast archives under Ep. 14 of ComicPop Visits, or you can go back in your iTunes feed two shows.

Ep. 14 of ComicPop Visits with Young Lyons’ Lead Singer John Lyons

Ep. 14 of ComicPop Visits with Young Lyons’ Lead Singer John Lyons

Join us as we visit with John Lyons, lead singer of the band Young Lyons.  During the visit we discuss Young Lyons’ EP Crash Course.  One of our discussion points is the lyrics to the song “Girlfriends Got Me Down”, which centers around the use of an explicit word.  So this is your warning if you are listening in a public place or at work you might want to wear headphones.  However, don’t let this dissuade you from listening to the visit, because it was a great discussion, not just on how lyrics can effect a song and make it have more emotion by using different words, but the bands style, influences and the music industry in general.  We had a great time and enjoyed having John on the show.  You can click the link below to listen to the visit, go to our website, www.comicpoplibrary.com, or catch it on our iTunes feed when it uploads a little later.

I want to thank Karla MacDonald, of the Muse Box, for coordinating this visit.  You can check out their site below along with Young Lyons site and Facebook page.
