X-Men Marketing

xmen2

Axe has teamed up with the release of X-Men:Days of Future Past for a marketing promo.  It’s not quite as cool as some of the marketing promos in Japan, but they are trying.  Inside the X-Men themed package you get an exclusive poster from the movie.  The set will put you back about $10.00.

Days of Future Past First Trailer

To me it’s fun to be a comic book fan at this point in time.  Just think about how many movies have been based on comic books in the past decade, the ones that are coming out now, and then the ones coming out in the near future.  One of them is of course X-Men: Days of Future Past and thanks to “X-Men Movies” channel for posting the first trailer on YouTube.  Check it out below:

Internship Trailer

The Internship looks to be a fun movie.  If you like comedies this one is for you and you just got to love the X-Men references.  Thanks to “joblomovienetwork” for the following trailer:

New Style of HeroClix

WizKids has introduced a new dynamic to their HeroClix brand.  Starting with the Batman: Gotham City Strategy Game will have interchangeable dials.  Two sets will come with the game and the players get to choose which dial they want to play the game with.  Then in Spring of 2013, Teen Titans HeroClix will be released with the SwitchClix dials and then in the Summer of 2013 the Wolverine and the X-Men will be released with the same game features.  This will probably be the standard from this point on, if I was guessing.  Thanks to ICv2 for the information.

Marvel NOW!

Similar to DC’s New 52, Marvel will be revamping their universe.  The event comes out of the Avengers vs. X-Men event.  Titles will receive number 1 issues again and costumes will be redesigned.  This will take place in the later part of the year during October – December and possibly into the first part of 2013.  Librarians be prepared to recognize old heroes in slightly or completely different attire.

Marvel RPG Play

For libraries that have a collection of roleplaying books here are three more you will want to add to your collection.  Margaret Weis’ Productions who brings us Marvel Heroic Roleplaying will be releasing this summer three new supplements.  The three titles are: Marvel Heroic Roleplaying: Civil War – 50 States Initiative; Marvel Heroic Roleplaying: Civil War – Young Avengers/Runaways; and Marvel Heroic Roleplaying: Civil War – X-Men.  Each supplement will be a 128 page book with an MSRP of $19.99.

New DC and Marvel HeroClix

WizKids is coming out with “Fast Forces Packs” for their DC and Marvel lines of HeroClix.  Each pack will contain six figures.  The DC packs, called DC HeroClix: War of Light Fast Forces Packs, will have characters from their Green Lantern titles.  The Marvel packs, called Marvel HeroClix: Uncanny X-Men Fast Forces Packs, will have characters from their X-Men titles.  Be sure to let your gamers know so they can start getting ready for another round of HeroClix.

The X-Men anime series premieres tonight on G4 at 11:00 p.m. ET.  This will be a 12 episode run and I’m sure will be packaged for U.S. distribution.  So keep your ears to the ground for when it becomes available to add to your library’s animation collection.
