HeroClix “No Man’s Land” Event

WizKids is having a DC HeroClix’s event.  The event revolves around the Batman storyline “No Man’s Land”.  Have your gamers that are into HeroClix check with their local gaming stores to see if they will be participating in this event.  Prizes will include limited edition figures, like the Poison Ivy above and a Grand Prize of the Batcave, also pictured above.  Good luck to all you gamers.

HeroClix to Distribute Holiday Characters

WizKids is bringing out three 2012 HeroClix Seasonal Holiday Figures.  They will be: Hobbit Holiday Elf (for the upcoming Hobbit game); Mephisto (for the Marvel HeroClix game); and White Lantern Batman (for the DC HeroClix game).  There is no release date yet.  Therefore, your library’s gaming fans might want to hit their local hobby store and see if they can reserve a set.  This would even be a cool set to use as a give-away if your library sponsors gaming tournaments with HeroClix.

If you library provides space and information for gamers you might be interested in this for your library or just pass it along to your gaming community.  WizKids, the maker of HeroClix, will be releasing an Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Revelations set this coming October.  So this information might not just be of interest to your HeroClix players, but also the video gaming community at your library to have an opportunity to get some Assassin’s Creed collectibles.

Are You Getting Hungry

WizKids is planning on three new games based on the bestselling novel Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and the upcoming movie based on the young adult novel.  The first two games will appeal to a hard core game collector.  The games are The Hunger Games: District 12 Strategy Game and The Hunger Games: JabberjayJabberjay is a card game, but it doesn’t sound like it is a TCG.  The last gaming set is The Hunger Games: Collectible Figures.  This set is prepainted miniatures of character likenesses from the movie.  It is unclear if these will be for a miniatures game by itself or if they will be part of one of the other two previously mentioned games.  I would expect the mini-figures to be similar to the HeroClix gaming pieces.  Time will tell, with each game having an early March release date.
