Vok has given us a nice ballad to listen to with “Eg bio pin” (I’ll Wait for You). This is a very emotional and drawn out song. It has a little techno feel with slow jass mixed in for an interesting mix. The vocals are really clear, but don’t over power the music. Strange was the first word that popped into my head when I heard Vök’s new single. I was immediately interested when the song started and got into the instrumentals right away. It was very flowy and smooth which reminded me of The Neighborhood. Hearing sounds that would normally clash work together so well is always amazing to hear. My only problem is the vocalist. I didn’t mind her singing in a foreign language because if she puts her emotions into the song I’ll still understand what she’s saying. I just couldn’t get passed how mellow it sounded. The song as a whole was very much like water and I needed a rock to anchor myself. In this case the vocals are supposed to be my rock but they were just another current.
