Duel Masters is Back

Here is something that your library’s Trading Card Gaming fans might like to know about.  Wizards of the Coast is scheduled to release Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters this coming September.  This game is currently the #2 TCG in Japan and Wizards is trying to release it in the North American market again.  This will be supported with a anime series on The Hub TV Network.

VIZ to Publish Redakai

Here is a title most libraries will probably want to add to their manga collections.  VIZ Media ia planning to publish Redakai.  This title will appeal to you animation and TCG players, since Radakai has an anime by Marathon, on Cartoon Network, and a TCG put out by Spin Master.  There is no set date on release for this title yet, but you will want to start watching your purchasing sources and alert your purchasing agent and they might be able to pre-order the first book.

Gold Series Returns

This one is for all your Trading Card Game enthusiasts.  Konami is scheduled to release, Yu-Gi-Oh! Gold Series: Haunted Mine, on June 12.  This series is introducing  a Gold/Ghost Hybrid card.  The hybrid card will be a 3-D holographic image and have a gold border and gold text.  The series will be released in boxes of 25 cards for around $19.99.  The break down of the pack will be: 1 Gold Ghost Hybrid card; 2 Gold Rare cards; and 22 common cards.

New Pokemon Decks

  

Let all your gamers know that Pokemon is having a new expansion come out on May 9.  The new expansion is called Pokemon: Black & White – Dark Explorers.  The expansion deck will have 100 cards to include six new “Pokemon-EX” cards.  The expansion will have theme decks at $11.99 and booster packs at $3.99.

Monsuno Entering the Anime and Trading Card Arena

Nicktoons will be debuting Monsuno on February 23.  So tell you anime and gaming fans in the library to check their local listings for the time.  If you remember the reason gamers will be interested is because it will be supported by a CCG that Topps Cards will be distributing so the gamers will want to check out their local card show and the cards will more than likely be in department stores as well.

Yu-Gi-Oh Tournaments Starting

For gamers in the Atlanta, Georgia area get ready to duel.  The Yu-Gi-Oh Championship Series is coming to your area for it’s first tournament of 2012, February 18-19.  It will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center.  Be sure to let your gaming patrons know and it might be an opportunity for your library to hold a local tournament event, for the one’s that can’t go to this big event.

WoW more Trading Card Gaming

Crytozoic Entertainment is planning on releasing two new World of Warcraft Champion Decks, this Spring.  The decks will be 60 cards each with a suggest retail price of $11.99.  If you have an WoW players in your library you might relay this information if they don’t already know about them.  If nothing else it will give you some talking points with your gamers.
