The Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine announced that two new live action Rurouni Kenshin films have been green-lit for next summer. Takeru Satoh will reprise his role as Kenshin Himura. The first live action movie has been released with subtitles so I hope you got it for your collections.
AnimeNews Network has put up the photo above, from the January 2012 Jump Square magazine, of Takeru Satoh as Kenshin. So the live action Rurouni Kenshin film is still in the works and I’m sure it will be licensed for the U.S. market, since the anime was so popular in the States.

In 2012 Warner Bros. Japan is planning on the debut of a live action movie of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s Rurouni Kenshin. The movie will star Takeru Satoh as Kenshin. The company is hoping this will become a series of movies if it proves popular enough. Hopefully when this finishes its run the Blu-Ray and/or DVD will be available for the North American market.
