Resistance: A Star Trek Fan Production

Vance Major has been having some fun with short Star Trek Fan Productions.  In Resistance: A Star Trek Fan Production, we have a crew that pulls out an old Constitution Class Starship out of mothballs, the U.S.S. Constar, to escape the Wolf 359 incident.  It is a nice short and it leads to a progression between Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation Series, with the continuation of characters in other Star Trek Fan Productions, with Captain Erick Minard, being a descendant of Engineer Erick Minard or he really ages well.  The short is only a few minutes long so you can take a bit of time out of your day and enjoy Resistance: A Star Trek Fan Production through Vance Major’s YouTube channel filmed at Starbase Studios:

Starbase Studios Time-Lapse Bridge Build

As most of our friends know Starbase Studios has recently relocated.  They are no longer in Oklahoma, but in Arkansas.  Over the holidays they moved the sets and have begun re-building them at their new home.  When the time comes and they are ready to schedule new fan film productions we will post to let everyone know.  Until then the group of The Federation Files YouTube channel has released a time-lapse video of them reconstructing the bridge.  Check it out these are two hard working gentlemen and I’m sure the productions of Valiant, Melbourne, Republic, and many others Star Trek fan film productions are glad to see the new studio taking shape:

Starbase Studios Needs Your Help!

starbase-studios

Our friends down in Oklahoma City are in need of your support.  Over the past year we have become associated with Starbase Studios and many of their fan productions filmed there, i.e. Starship Valiant, Grissom, Melbourne, and Republic.  The studio is a volunteer studio and they have built several sets and have all of their equipment their ready for fan productions to use at no cost.  However, the studio is currently in the process of moving to a new location.  This move is not going to be a minor undertaking.

As stated they have all of the equipment that has to be moved, but also several sets that include: Medical Bay, Transporter Room, Briefing Room, and a 360 degree Bridge (which is pictured above).  The friends of the studio have set up a gofundme campaign to cover costs of moving all of their studio.  If you can support them in any way it would be greatly appreciated and you can keep the Star Trek fan film productions alive to continue with new fan film productions in the future.  Click on the link to go to their gofundme campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/new-home-for-starbase-studios
