DC Entertains a Chicken?!

If you don’t know about Robot Chicken, your patrons that like comic books and animation in particular will know Robot Chicken.  This show takes popular entertainment and spoofs them.  The show is usually a bunch of clips from a variety of entertainment properties and has done full episodes that spoofed Star Wars.  This is the first time the Chicken will have a special show spoofing just DC Comics.  Be warned and let your parents know that this show is for a mature audience and might not be suitable for young viewers.  No date has been released yet for when the special will air, but all your Chicken fans will love it.

AMV of the Week

This weeks AMV is perfect for the library community.  The AMV comes from YouTuber MrFernoid.  It takes the song ‘Rock It” (Stanton Warriors Remix) by Sub Focus and edits the song with images from Star Wars Old Republic video game trailer.  This didn’t have a lot of editing per say since it took whole scenes and just put the music to the images. However, this shows everyone that good music doesn’t have to be sung, it can also be played and I enjoyed this instrumental. Check it out below or look it up on YouTube under “Star Wars The Old Republic AMV Rock-It”:

Back to the Wars

Star Wars is back in theaters again.  This time in 3D.  If you have a new generation that has only seen the Clone Wars Animated Series this would be a chance for them to see Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace on the big screen.  Sometimes its just way cooler to see on the big screen than on a television screen.  Thanks to YahooMovies for the following trailer.

Having some fun with Food

The Belgian fast food chain “Quick” is having fun with their hamburgers with the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 3-D.  They are having for a limited time three Star Wars inspired burgers costumers can choose from.  The Dark Burger along with the two pictured above the Dark Vador Burger and Jedi Burger.  Some will say this is ridiculous, but I say have some fun in your life.

AMV of the Week

This weeks video comes to us from YouTuber StarWarsNerd456.  Once you get past the opening he/she took the song “We Will Rock You” performed by Queen and edited it together with Star Wars The Clone Wars episode “Landing at Point Rain”.  The sequencing of the lyrics and the characters fit together great….Anakin (Boy), Obi-Wan (Young Man) and Ki-Adi-Mundi (Old Man).  If you wish to see the AMV you can find it on YouTube under the tag “Landing at Point Rain/We Will Rock You” or check it out below.
